Now those gifs might be the closest so far, but still has a long way to go before I will ever confuse a game for a movie or something using "REAL LIFE"

Not even close.

I know, I think they mocapped Kiefer Sutherland for this character. Look at the lifelike way he shrugs and shakes his head. Just like a real human! It amazes me what game developers can do with the technology they're given.

What would you put above it?

Pokemon Snap.

Driveclub, for starters. 

I don't think Driveclub is that photorealistic. Those tracks from Norway, while impressive, doesn't look like what it actually would look like from the inside of a car.

I personally think MGS V looks pretty darn impressive in this aspect. That game looks amazing. But it's still not photorealistic.
