yeah its back alright!!! released with 1 playable character and then you have to pay for additional characters LOL!!! Are you guys that dumb?

You should look into the costing of this fighter in full. Then tell me how that compares to buying a $60 - $70 game.

KI is being released in episodic content. And no its doesnt cost $60 start with.

How does all this DLC work? This is the first time i heard a game practically not finished but its going to release? Now If SSB did this

74 on meta, looks like 90 is out of reach, im still laughing most games are down from previous installments (COD), lower than expected(Killzone/KI), or justed bombed (Knack/Sonic Lost World)!

Looks Like its up to Ryse or Forza to make that 90 cut, only holiday game so far that achieved that is LoZ

its free with one rotating char to use.  to get others its $5 per char but when you spend $20 you unlock all 6 char + 2 when they are realsed.  story and arcade are coming next year for free

its free next year for the rest on the add on? then its cool. Less than $25 for the full game. KI looks like its risen from the dead

We only need a Banjo Kazooie game, if they dont make one then just sell the rights to Nintendo. Seriously one of the top platformer company doesn't do platformers. Do they not kno Banjo Kazooie is so god damn good lol

That is a completely horrible way of using review scores.

Games are generally a quite expensive form of entertainment (Killer Instinct being "free", is an exception and in its case I'd just strongly suggest anyone having the chance to try it), so just looking for someone that liked the game is the worst thing you can do when you're on the fence about buying it, the right way of doing it is looking at both sides of the medal, actually reading the reviews and then deciding if you want to pay 60 dollars for it or if it just might not be the game for you.

wait what ????? games is the cheapest way of entertainement.... with a console that cost 400-500 bucks and games that cost 60 bucks (new) I can play for half a decade to a decade during countless of hours.... movies cost 10 bucks a piece for 2 hours max of entertainement... going out cost you between 25-50 bucks a piece for 1 night out and I'm being nice I blow 60 bucks without eating easily when I go out with friends... vacation is just out of the league... maybe music can be named.... but can you seriously take music as a substitute for something way more engaging like gaming.... the main reason I went back to console gaming was the fact that I would spend way less money on entertainement than anything else....

If I do the math withthe cost of  all the game I have bought divided by the number of hours of entertainement I get it blows the cost per hour of any other enterteinement form out there....

looking for a positive review that suites your gaming taste is the best way to chose a game not its meta score.... so yeah one positive review in line with your taste is more important than 20 negative...

I'm sorry but you should overthink your spending habits, 60 dollar a night when going out with friends? 10 bucks a movie? Ever heard of Netflix? But even if we disregard this, gaming is not cheap, so looking for one guy that tells you what you want to hear and at the same time ignoring all possible criticism is not a good way to decide if a game is for you.

Killer Instinct isnt finished in reviews. All the reviews are being redone in March. This is just the start. 6 characters and 1 mode. And everyone is raving about its gameplay. When Season 1 releases next year the game gets more characters, Story mode for all characters and finishers. Then we get Season 2 later. All in all it will be a $60 game with all modes and characters. They are just releasing it in parts.

The important thing is reviews say it plays superbly and could be one of the best fighters ever next year.

This game is gonna be awesome. There has been talk that Cpacom are watching closely to see how the part release thing goes. Same for Mortal Kombat devs. This probably will become the new standard for releasing fighting games.

Calm down, he just stated a fact, 74 doesn't represent everybody personal score just the average. If he said that all reviewers gave the game bad score then i can see you pointing something out! No need for violence

The score is beyond awesome.

A game with 6 characters and 1 game mode is sitting on 74 and could yet go up. Gamespot among others that have already previously said the game was great have yet to review. It could well end up 78ish yet. All reviewers say the game is really great. Just down marked for content. When its re reviewed in March with the new content added this is gonna meta 90+ easy. The media love it.

Professional game criticism is just an opinion better formulated than your average joe. With that said, it is optional to follow their line of thought when they review games.

For example, Fifa 13 was rated higher than 12, but I find 12 better and I enjoy it more. I entirely skipped 13 and I'm waiting on 14.

But GTAV was all that. The reviews were spot on.
