Forums - Sony Discussion - Everyone is Always Trying To Sabotage Sony

It seems like Everyone is always trying to sabotage Sony:  Following hot on the heels of the landmark release of the Sony Playstation 4, reports of the console having been sabotaged in a Chinese Factory and of reports of a technical glitch began coming in as well as horrible review scores for the consoles Launch Games that can't possibly be as bad as the scores they're receiving would indicate that they are.

 For one example,  I personally believe that if Dave Halverson, someone that actually knows what he's talking about in regards to games and in particularly storu-based platformers, was to review "Knack" that there would be no way that the Editor of America's Two Greatest Magazines in the History of American Gaming Journalism  "Play" and :DieHard Gamefan" were to review "Knack" that he would give the game the score it most likely deserves somewhere in the 9 to Perfect 10 range.  Come on, it's from Mark Cerny.  Does he really have a reputation for developing anything other than the most Exceptional games of Knack's type?  There's no real reason to believe that in actuality "Knack" isn't another fine effort from Cerny and company that is more than likely getting the review scores that it is because it's primarily being reviewed by critics that have never played anything other than a fps game in their lives.

On the other hand, you can bet that same these reviewers will turn around and give outstanding scores to Xbox One Launch Games next week that will hardly deseve the scores that they will receive.  How do I know that?  Because I can tell you that all these games will receive scores in the 9 to 10 range from Western Reviewers.that want the Western Console to be the dominant force in gaming.  Certainly if "Ryse" or "Forza" gets a 10 you can mark my words that they're both highly undeserving of those scores.

Everybody is trying to sabotage Sony but unlike their competitors that want to shove out family game upon family game and gimmick upon gimmick or shooting game clone upon shooting game clones and inferior clones of games Sony has already taken the crown with ( "Ryse" being a "God of War" knockoff that despite upcoming review scores should hardly merit mention in the same paragraph with the game that it's trying to be the MS equivalent of and Forza remaing a Gran Turismo Clone. Gosh.  Does MS have an original bone in their body when it comes to gaming with any genre other than Flight Sims? And even that's questionable); Sony, as always, remains committed to actually trying to be the Best Company in the industry as they have been for the past 18 years.

Yeah, sad Sony, everyone are so mean to them when all they want to do is be nice to everyone :). Sony are a company, they use cheap work force in countries with low wages, just like all other electronics manufacturers, their aim is to make money on you as a customer and, here´s the best part: they are treated equal to everyone else when it comes to reviews :). Accept it and move on.

Everybody hates Hugo Sony.

Yay!!! Another person that can see the future!!!

But I don't think, apart from that Foxconn employee and Xbox Fanboys, people are trying to sabotage Sony... I played Knack at my friend's house and it was boring as shit... Killzone was fun but nothing all that new so I think the scores are fair... Launch games never do well in reviews just cause people expect something magical out of the games even though the games just turn out ordinary... And if they tried to be the best company for the past 18 years... they wouldn't have priced the ps3 at $599 originally

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Why is Sony the punching bag? :'( wah wah wah

Please don't try to make Sony a victim here. Just accept that Chinese don't like Japanese and that people don't care for Knack. Sony sold 1 million in 1 day, they aren't worried about anything right now.

They priced the PS3 at $599 because they were trying to be the Best Company in the Industry.  They couldn't have packed that much tech in at any other price.  And even Itagaki at the time said DVDs didn't offer enough space for the type of games he was trying to create mucg less games like Uncharted, Final Fasntasy, and Metal Gear Solid 4.  And as the end of the generation turned out, Sony was on top once again.

People don't like "Knack" because all that they do like is Ultra Violent Shooters. As I've said beforem the jury's still out on it ans until and unless Dave Halverson reviews it. It's his type of game and even though I don;r know if he'll review it ( The Gamefan Mag website hasn't been updated in quite sometime ), I would not expect less than a 9 or 10 from Halverson for the game.

Huh??

is this for real?

Sony and M$ are launching in a whole new environment with instant media and social media. The more complaints you hear, the better chance you have a success on your hands. Media and social media only care if you are a success.

Look at the WiiU, no press and nobody cared and nobody bought.

It is near the end of the end....

You're right. I smell a conspiracy in the making...IF only we had more Sony support on this damn site.
