This has been my theory for a long time, that in order to have a successful console the manufacturer has to give it 8-10 AAA 1st party games in a single year. This is what Sony hasn't done with the Vita and that's why it's struggling so bad. This is also what Nintendo hasn't done with the Wii U (thus far). There is no doubt in my mind though, that Nintendo understands this and that it has started doing just that. Starting with Zelda Wind Waker HD till the end of 2014 - this is the time frame that will decide the fate of Wii U. And I feel it's gonna be awesome. Can't wait for Nintendo to cut the price so that Wii U reaches a price that it's actually worth so I can get one.
To sum up - yeah, this is exactly what Nintendo has to do and what it is doing. We are gonna get around 10 AAA games and a bunch of smaller titles like the minigames collections, stuff like Mario Football, etc. I have no doubt Wii U will pick up thanks to this. I just hope Sony learns a lesson out of this and give Vita similar treatment ASAP :(
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
