Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Can Nintendo pump out 1 Wii U exclusive per month in 2014 ?

They can but I think most consoles do this already. We just don't notice because a lot of it is smaller stuff that we may or may not pay attention to.

As a side note though, WiiU's lineup for 2014 looks great xD Pretty excited for X and Smash Bros myself

My hopes:

January - ??? (probably nothing)

February - Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

March - Bayonetta 2

April - Mario Kart 8

May - Monolith Soft's "X"

June - Yarn Yoshi

July - Super Smash Bros. 4

August - Sonic's 3rd Exclusive

September - Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem

October - Miyamoto's New IP

November - The Legend of Zelda U

December - ???

In the recent investor meeting, some titles were 2014 dated, anothers were TBD. SMTxFE and Yarn Yoshi were TBD :/.

I believe if they put out a great game every 1.5 month, we will be good. The sales will not improve much, but most costumers would be satisfied

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Depends on the advertising because outside of noticeable icons like Mario, Pokemon and a few others that will immediately grab people just via the characters on the box appearing on shelves besides their built in fan bases, if they dropped a exclusive once a month, they will be leaving some to die on a vine.

One extremely good to great title every 2 months would be a good enough rush so long as they give the titles proper hype.

I honestly think they'll struggle to get 12 retail games out all year

Pshaw! My list already has 10! Even if some of them don't make it, new game announcements from January/February Nintendo Direct and E3 should hopefully more than make up for it. Also, so far there's no casual or Wii___ game set for 2014, so that's pretty much a guaranteed game announcement right there!

I don't think so. If they announce a new game in December/January it will probably be for 2015.

They need to release Mario Kart in March if they dream of going near that damn high forecast goal of theirs.

Why would you think that? Last January/February they announced DKC Returns 3D, Pokemon X/Y, New Super Luigi U, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, all of which have been released already.

Delays are common for Nintendo.
