Forums - PC Discussion - Rayman Legends steam sale!

Rayman Legends is on sale for $20 on Steam right now! The deal ends in a couple of days. I'm running low on cash, but I dunno if I can pass this up. The PC version lacks second screen gameplay, right? Is it still worth it? From the little bit of the demo I played it seems like a lot of fun.

Sighh, its a shame when a great game becomes the biggest flop of the year due to the decisions of the publisher... People should get this game, its quite fun even if it doesn't have the second screen experience... Or wait till the wiiU or vita has a sale

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I can't help feeling that it would've been more successful had they not decided to delay the Wii U version at the last second. That clearly turned a lot of people off, and it didn't really seem to help sales on other platforms anyway. :/

It's shipped/sold a million copies so far. How can it be the biggest flop of the year?

This was confirmed by Ubisoft, not VGChartz numbers.

Yea its quite sad and odd really... I understand that Ubisoft wanted it to come to other consoles, but why not release it then, get the sales from the wiiU while people are desperate for games, and then release it 6 months later for the other consoles. The developers even said it was ready to launch... By the time september came, it has to compete with GTA V on ps3/360, WWHD on wiiU and Killzone on Vita... you cannot compete with those key games and I know a few of my friends that bought a wiiU didn't buy Rayman Legends soley because of the delay

Well I was looking at the vgchartz numbers when I made that comment but thats still kinda sad considering it sold only one million with an install base of over 160 million systems excluding PC... All I am saying is that it could have sold much more if they didn't make bad decisions

Hmm...we're getting pretty close to the steam holiday dale, I may wait a little longer to see if the price goes lower.

Well I definitely agree that delaying the WiiU version was very unfair, I just thought that 'flop of year' was a bit oot, especially when we've had gems like FUSE this year :P

Definitely one of the more flabbergasting decisions I've seen. Besides, y'know, pretty much everything Nintendo has done with the Wii U up until now.
