Forums - Sony Discussion - Man Tests Vita/PS4 Remote Play Over Mobile LTE Network

Crazy... makes me want a PS4 even more!

i would be nice to make it possible to use the vita as rear view mirror in racing games.
just stick the handheld at the top/left /right of the tv and get a real 3d experience.

It works since you have a good connection in both sides... no brainier here.

LTE is next to unpayable in germany. telekom wants 72€ a month (thats 100 USD) for up to 150 MBit/s without mobile phone and a limit of 5 GB traffic. after that 64 KBit/s.
LOL

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Same thing in Holland :(

There is always WiFi though, even during vacations i never go somewhere without WiFi lol!!

Wow... only 6Mbps on LTE? That is pretty terriable... In Canada, with Rogers and Galaxy S4, I get 54-63 Mbps average download speeds and 40Mbps upload... But the data cap is pretty bad with only 6gb... So I guess I can't do that anyway

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

although remote play is already pretty good, its not perfect by any means, and does lag occasionally.

Is it possible to improve remote play over time through patches and such? improving the range, lag etc?

I was playing team deathwatch online in Battlefield 4 last night using remote play, there was no lag at all!!

AceRock owns one PS3, one PS Vita, and one PS4.

I bet it works better than many would like to admit, for whatever reason. There's been a lot of positive stories about it so far.

Thing is via mobile there are too much variables which will greatly influence your experience while on the go.

True, but I've seen videos demonstrating great ping on average connections.  Maybe some people have bad variables, but the service definitely works in many places, maybe more big cities than rural. Who knows.  I guess the experience will be different for everybody, but Sony can't really help that.  I like the option though.
