I know the thread is meant to be satirical hyperbole, but the series is still massive and will likely continue to be a force in the 8th gen. Which is disappointing, because I don't want the 8th gen to just be a continuation of the 7th with the same series dominating the charts.

Agree with 1 and 3. But I don't think many players are actually switching over to Battlefield.

BF4 saw a massive decine on 7th gen platforms and its not leading in 8th gen pre orders either.

In the most recent Xbox Live activity charts, there were three CoD games ahead on BF3.

I don't  know how anyone expected that. Last update and GTAV was at 29 mill shipped. By the end of the year it'll be something like 32mill.

No COD has come close to that.

I can't call something that sells that much a flop. Especially when i know people are waiting to get it for ps4 and xbox one. Let's wait until we get numbers from both ps4 and xbox one before we call it a flop.

This is probably a combination of three things, 1. Vgchartz undertracking sales, 2. A large portion of people of waiting to get theirs for next gen consoles and, 3. a general decline in sales (basically more and more people each year not buying Cod every year)

Ah, a butt hurt CoD bitch resorting to insults b/c GTA5 mopped up CoD. Save the EXCUSES, the game flopped.

 

Batefield developers never sold 20mil, they never grossed $1bil in 2 weeks, that's CoD, the SAME CoD that sold 11mil 1st week a year ago, now at under 3mil. 

 

Cry all you like you wimp, every time CoD goes against GTA, GTA wins, it happened w/ San Andreas in 2004, GTA4, & now GTA5. Next gen excuse, bitch please, GTA4 still broke records when 360/PS3 was still new, also Halo 3, so save the "next gen consoles launching", you butt hurt COD fangirl.

For all the fangirls crying about next gen consoles, keep in mind that when Halo 3 was released on the new Xbox 360, it broke records at the time, then GTA4 was released exclusively to 370/PS3, & ALSO broke records. So fellas, quit w/ the excuses.

I came on here, posted a fact, then the COD fangirl caught feelings, & resorted to name calling. I brought up GTA5 b-c it was the underdog, nobody thought GTA was selling that much, even when Take-Two predicted 18mil sold in a year they caught heat. CoD was supposed to had best GTA5 til Sept 18th when those sales/figures was reported, that's why GTA5 is brought up.

I was wondering when you were going to post here. But yes it looks like I was wrong in thinking Ghosts would sell more than BO2, you were right. Unstellar reviews, gen change, GTA, marketing weaker than ever compared to previous iterations.

But aren't these numbers only America and UK? People keep saying that BO2 sold 6 million on 360 alone FW or, CoD sold 11 milliom FW but that's worldwide, these are only Americas/UK's numbers though, right?
