Calling it right now. it will hold the title as the most sold game on both the xbox one and PS4 for quite some time......as of now I can only see titan fall out selling it on the xbox 1.

Food for thought: On average, every 360 owner ever has purchased about one Call of Duty game. More Call of Duty games for the 360 have been sold in the USA as retail 3DS games PERIOD. Not counting Ghosts, over 130 million Call of Duty games have been sold for the PS360 worldwide, or more than Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort combined. 5 of the top 10 best-selling 360 games are Call of Duty titles, as are 4 of the top 10 PS3 titles.

So excuse me if I take this franchise's striking decline with an iota of concern.

this game is not a flop, but the release of next gen consoles has hurt the initial sales, because of the staggering launches of the game on all the systems. but this game does need to stop with the yearly releases very soon or it will be dead alot sooner than activision wants. they should delay destiny till fall next year and then release the next cod in 2015. i think why i am growing a huge fan of the killzone series over the past few years is because the games are coming out every 2 years from kz2 onward and are having a chance at adding some cool changes and such to the game to make it seem fresh upon its release.

Well you are ignoring the fact that the 2nd leading console in it's pre orders has not even been released yet. Jumping to conclusions on a game that hasn't had time to sell on all it's platforms is very premature.

You can't seriously compare this release to the last. the last realease didnt have two next gen consoles coming out a half a month after the game.

Quit with excuses, Ghosts flopped hard. It's a reason why Activision had that built in excuse sold $1bil to retailers in 24 hours, not customers. It's a reason why Activision wasn't cocky, & bragging this year 1st day after release, they did it the last 4 years, but not this year. Next hen releases shouldn't be an excuse, GTA5 is at 25mil already. Ghosts was expected to beat GTA5, but since GTA5 won, now here comes the excuses. Yes, 2.9mil for CoD is a flop, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. BF3 sold that 3 years ago.

Lol at the excuses about next gen consoles, GTA5 moved 25mil in a month, Ghosts be lucky to reach 15mil. FYI fellas, GTA is AGAIN 1 of Sony/PS highest SOLD games.

We have to wait until we see sales for next gen consoles before we deem COD Ghosts a flop.

The presence of a next gen version is probably what is keeping people from buying the current gen version. Even if they don't plan on getting a ps4 or Xbox one, I doubt they would want to get what is an inferior game
