Maybe a tiny bit but I don't see people rushing out to buy consoles for a game that has no footage or release date.  It may sway some from buying an Xbox One while they wait, though.  People just don't buy consoles until the good games come out.  Us Wii U owners know.  Oh boy, do we know....

I have to agree on this one.  Love uncharted though, maybe I'm just not getting the reference?

We kind of all assumed we would see another uncharted eventually.  They really didnt show ANYTHING though.  A little lame.

Lot of people thought uncharted was done. Remember, consoles in the first couple years sell on potential and brand. Just look at MS' strategy of making vague promises. There's a reason it's done. It works.

This is just a teaser guys, letting us know it's in production. Hopefully we'll get a trailer at the VGA's.

Don't mind the announcement. Uncharted is now up there with Gran Turismo & God of War as "IP's Sony will never drop", so I was expecting them to continue it regardless of people on the forums saying "but there's no point!"; just like I'd expect Microsoft to continue Halo no matter what and Nintendo to continue Mario games, etc. etc.

I am, however, extremely let down by this "announcement". Seems like a knee-jerk to the launch titles being underwhelming and just throwing something together to get people on board with the console. Which again, I suppose is okay, but I'd rather they just waited until there was actually something to show.

Of course I'm hyped. It's Naughty Dog! My favourite developer.

But this isn't a trailer. It's a teaser teasing a reveal teaser.

Why do people not like the announcement? it introduces a new main character...that's pretty big.

We will probably see a glimpse of the new main character at the VGA's and then a full gameplay vid at E3.
