that, just like a score between 60-75, does not mean theyre bad games (well, lococycle and crimson dragon maybe), but even then, were all different, a came could have 100 negative reviews and have a score average of 20, but someone, somewhere, would think it was awesome.


I don't know (nor care) what the scores are for those games, but none of them appeal to me at all. I might be most interested in Crimson Dragon out of that list, but not enough to buy the game at launch, if evn at all. I hear Resogun is supposed to be great, but looking at it on the ps store I skipped over the FREE download as it didn't seem appealing to me.

I don't think the modest reviews will stop this from selling a couple million.

But it seems unlikely this release will lead to the series growing in popularity.

Shooters, action games, rpg's, and good stories... not kiddy apps i can get on my phone... haven't played sports games a lot recently, but nba jam was my favorite... I'm looking forward to the Division, and Infamous 2 mostly. However, Halo xone and Dead Rising look like great games so I'd love to play those at some point. As far a fighters go I'd love to see tekken x sf on next gen and mortal combat in 3d again... 2d fighters are 2 gens ago and I don't like them nearly as much as 3d fighters... 2d fighters rely on cheap tricks mostly and it sucks all the fun out of it for me...

I seems a lot of reviews are jumping on the 6/7 band wagon for Killzone SF. I doubt it will recover from this and the score could possibly get lower.

But if you look at the exact stats:

- 17 reviews >= 75

- 15 reviews < 75

Equals 73/100. Because the reviews are weighted (biased?) and probably the 5/10 from Polygon bears more weight than the 9/10 from Desctructoid. It has in fact exactly 8 70/100 and 8 80/100 and only 3 60/100. So objectively the majority of the reviewers give this game 7/8s and not 6/7s. Not a coincidence that an almost perfect non-weighted score would be the user score of 7.8.

Well, meta predictions are made in brackets of 10.70-79, 80-89, and 90+. Killzone was predicted to be in the 80's and "flopped FLOABW", meaning it went below our expectations.

You confuse meta predictions with quality. Quality is always subjective. But in your examples, I can confirm that Killer Instinct was predicted to be in the 80s, and Crimson Dragon for the 70's. So yes, they too, flopped FLOABW.

It is a very simple concept. The people predict a bracket, and see if the reality meets, exceeds, or falls below said bracket.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

You list two number that are both HIGHER than 2 million then say it never sold more than 2 million that is just weird lol. It would make more sense to say that they didn't break 3 million not that they never sold over 2 million.....just wanted to point that out.

I should have said it never entered the 3 million mark. Poor wording on my part.
