Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rayman Legends coming to Xbox One and PS4 in February!

It can work well on the PS4 with the touch pad.

Seems like yet another waste of money though. It just doesnt work without the 2D graphics i think. It doesnt have the same appeal.

playing it on vita now, really good game overall but not quite as good as origins. i really don't like the murphy levels..

"Not quite as good" by how much??

I loved Origins so I'm sure I'll love this too.

Are the Murphy levels the musical ones (same as the one in the demo?)

No the Murphey levels are where instead of platforming the AI platforms while you pretty much do quick time like events to change the environment to guide the AI along (the Vita does the same as the PS3/360 I think).

These levels are better on the Wii U since its controlled by touch (I liked it) but some people still don't like the mechanic (its only about 20-30% of the game tho).

Music levels are a blast, wish the last stages was more than 1 new song with the rest being harder 8 bit remixes (its still good but I would play an entire game based on the song levels and wanted more).

Thanks. It's Rayman, I'll forgive it it's flaws!

The music level in the demo was amazing, so I agree with you there.

The problem with porting this game, is that it literally started as a ground up Wii U game, utilizing the GamePad, etc., and so when it gets ported around, it really starts to lose itself. Even on Vita and PS4, which have some touch controls of their own, it's still missing the second screen thing, etc. I'm just not sure Ubi made the right decision trying to whore it out to every platform known to man. They either should have made it multiplat to begin with at the start of development, or kept it Wii U exclusive.

the "rayman" levels are as good if not better than origins.

the "murphy" levels are,.. well..  basically like what you'd play on IOs.

...murphy levels are basically all like the demo and comprise maybe 40% of the game.    and, as a personal annoyance, vita is multi-touch.  origins supported multi-touch on vita.  but legends does not...   i could really feels the wiiU gamepad limitations bleed through on that one as mult-touch on the murphy levels would have made many of them more fun imo.

not sure how the murphy levels are handed on ps360 though.  maybe it plays like a whole different game.

vita does the same as wii u.

it would even have multitouch but...

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Why is this coming in February, when the Wii U has it since ages? I'm not gonna buy their delayed port!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Still stand by my opinion that it should've stayed a Wii U exclusive. Would've been higher profile title so it wouldn't have flopped so bad.

This is only going to make it flop harder.

February lol.
They just couldn't chose a different month...

btw. I think the Murphy levels are bad on both systems, but I would still prefer the PS360 version since you can actually control the characters, so it doesn't feel thaaat out of place.
Still it's annoying and pressing the B or O button to let Murphy do something is not challenging or fun either.

How can it possibly flop harder??? Not to mention it wasn't a massive seller on Wii compared to PS360 (Origins)

Total guessing on your part that it'd have done better, the actual fact is it would have done worse.
