Think about it! Do you guys know of the fable of the hare and the tortoise? No? Ok! I'll tell you! There was a hare one day, it was a really arrogant hare! He could run very fast and he challenged the poor tortoise to a race to see who was better. The tortoise accepted and at the next day he presented himself for the race. The race began and the hare went full speed ahead to the finish line! But before he reached there he decided it would be too easy and he decided to go take a nap. What could happen? The tortoise was too slow to ever catch it up. The hare slept like a log and after a couple of hours he woke up. It was already night time and the Tortoise... was at the finish line... The tortoise won! What is the moral of the story?

You probably heard of it but I put it there for people who never heard of it.The retelling is not exactly faithful to the original but that is what I remember.

Anyway why did I talk about it? Because it has a lot to do with this current generation. Imagine if the PS4 is the hare and the tortoise is the Xbox One. The PS4 is going to be awesome but some people are already saying it's the winner. So... what if the Tortoise wins this time? What if the Xbox One (Or the Wii U, but that is less probable) won? I think the Xbox One could give us a BIG surprise and end up being the top console this generation.

I thought that is what kind of happened to the ps3 in its early years.

Anything could happen though my guess would be the PS4 will be on top.

It feels like pre PS4/Xbone reveals all over again, majority was thinking back then that MS has this gen under control, how things changed...

Metaphorically, it's happening with the PS3. I guess if Microsoft pulls themselves together, releases compelling exclusives, perhaps buys a studio or two, etc, they can pull ahead eventually. ESPECIALLY since Sony still has a chance to screw things up.

All they need to do to win is to strike some deal with several Cable TV services worldwide so that any household with that service has an Xbox One. That would make a HUGE difference. Not sure if it would help with software sales but it cant hurt, people might buy games since they already have the system anyways.

True! So that means that if the Xbox One has say a 40% chance of winning then the Wii U has about... 15%?  There is hope for both of them!

I feel that Sony is slowly starting to revert back to the arrogance of old! You can start to see hints of the smugness that cost them half their audience from Ps2 - Ps3. I am beginning to dislike them again and i hope Microsoft does win this generation (Yep fully aware this is a fan boy post)

Well you're right this is a fanboy post AND Microsoft of 2013 is way more arrogant than Sony of 2013, you've got to hate them, right?
