Oh I don't mean the PS4 beating the Vita's lifetime in it's first week. I just wanted to know how the first week was for the vita and I heard 60k in UK at the first week or so. I'm not too sure if the PS4 will be able to out the WII Us lifetime sales in 1 week because sony's brand has being getting weaker so it'd be more safe to assume that the PS4 may not actually outsell the WII U in UK at the first week.

Vita Week 1 - ~50k
Vita Lifetime - ~400k

The PS4 will easily beat the Wii U and the Vita openings combined. It wont outsell the Vita lifetime week 1 but it certainly has a chance of outselling the Wii U lifetime week 1.

It does have a chance but the likeliness of it happening probably isn't too big. I'd give it a 35% chance of that happening because the PS4 is lacking in must have titles at launch and I don't think killzone is going to do the trick. $400 is a bit excessive in many consumers eyes for a console. If it was maybe $350 that would most definitely crush the WII U.

Yes, but I don't understand what's "wow" about it. Sony will manage to maybe ship ~3 million PS4s until end of 2013, while Nintendo will ship 6 or more million 3DS/2DSes in that quarter, so it looks pretty obvious to me that 3DS will sell better.

People like to look at past launches and draw the conclusion that it is easily possible. However, the most recent PlayStation product, the Vita, featured the same price as its predecessor, the PSP. and was agreed upon to have a significantly better launch lineup. You may be right. (I wonder why I didn't think of this.)

In any case sony's consoles are usually stronger. After all the PS3 outdid the PSP! You also have a point about economical conditions affecting the console market too.
