That is often the excuse hack and slash developers make when they didn't even create a combat system. They created an attack button and called it a game. Ninja Gaiden is also probably the least free flowing hack and slash game in existence. It is also a button masher. Being hard doesn't change that.

GOD of war is as bustton mashing as Ryse son of rome. You don't need to be fancy to win. can rely on bashing one move. Just need to memorize eneies pattern and you will be sweet

I mean c'mon, comparing this to God Of War is a disgrace  to God Of War, I mean, gow3 is a masterpiece, it did not only look good, it had a great story and gameplay. Ryse proved nothing yet beside looking good. Seems all show no go for me after watching the livestream which was boring to an unmatched level (my opinion/taste)

That is true of any game. It is your choice to get fancy though god of war does reward you for being fancy like Devil may cry does. Seriously there is no relationship between difficulty and combat depth.

Ones a rip off from devil may cry the other is a rip off of batman.

Comparing Ryse with God of War is almost as bad as comparing Playstation All-Stars with Super Smash Brothers.

If it's similar to GoW then I'm interested, but it doesn't look like it is from the videos I've seen.
