and if the ps4 version released 3 weeks from now, sales would be similar.

this is one of the most logicless posts I've seen. the amount a game sells on a system doesn't affect support for the other console. if only the console that sells the most multiplats had them, ps3 wouldn't receive games. and i saw a coment mentioning the wii u version unavailable in some countries. with that said, pre orders numbers already pointed to the ps4 version outselling the wii u's, so what's the point of this? |
Because it didn't just outsell it. It outsold it somewhere in the range of 10-20x. It sold more than Black Ops II Wii U has over the past year. Pretty sure the PS3/360 sales gaps were never this big outside of maybe Japan, and unless a game had potential in the west a lot of Japanese devs didn't support the 360.
Since the launch of the Wii U there have been a lot of discussions over attach rates and late ports. Plenty of people have argued that having an attach rate near the PS3/360 was good for BOII, and that if it hadn't released late it would have done better. Now we have a version releasing the same day as the others that did significantly worse than a platform with zero install base.
While these are UK sales, so being unavailable in other countries wouldn't matter, I have also seen arguments that stores didn't stock the Wii U version. However, if true, the fact that retailers aren't stocking the Wii U version of one of the biggest games of the year does not spell hope for Wii U third parties.

Uh, the PS3 version has come out on top plenty of times (AC, Batman, fighting games, JRPGs, adventure games, some action games) Secondly, where did you see pre-orders for the UK? |
I didn't, I saw the USA pre orders wich gives some parameters.

We're also no longer 6-7 months after launch; we're 11. The Wii-U has been getting new releases since at least the end of August. Your best point of argument was saying that the PlayStation brand is more synonomyous with the Call of Duty name; or that hype for the system is causing inflating launch numbers; rather than what you went for here. |
There definitely is more sync with the PS brand, since Activision has been releasing every version on PS platforms, on time, with actual advertising. Up until two months ago, there was doubt that Ghosts would even exist for Wii U, and it's uncertain as to whether pre-orders were available even after the announcement.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

"Assuming", as in, speculation.
That doesn`t mean the disparity between both versions is that great.

How come? So you say that from now on, for the next 3 weeks no CoD Ghosts will be sold on the PS4? If so you are wrong (as usual). If no then sales in 3 weeks time would combine all sales from the next 3 weeks and how be even higher than now obviously, so you're also wrong (as usual).
in other words: another illogical post from you.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!
Lol, kind of reminds me of when Gears of War 3 was #1 on the Germany chart a week before its official street date.

Lol but why would you assume that when we have info that it's not the case, and actually other way around? Other than denying reality that is.

you still didn't counter argumented, the amount it sells on other consoles is irrelevant.
you also lowly try to intensify your "point" by mentioning the 0 installed base, as if it would make a difference if it released now or later on ps4.
this is the ps4 game that will be number 1 in sales for a good while, there is just no point in using it as an argument when we all knew it would sell better than the wii u version.
Lol, PS4s most likely highest selling game selling more than WiiUs very likely lowest selling game is amazing to you guys? I guess the PS4 has to win something. I wonder how its going to do against WiiUs highest selling game? I wonder.....
