Forums - NSFW Discussion - Does somebody here have experience with sexually transmitted diseases?

I wonder where everybody in this thread lives. I personally live in Austin Texas. You can get an HIV test while you are at the bathhouse and know within the hour. I can't speak for all places in the world.

I think that many of the warnings here have made it seem that HIV is somehow worse than any other STD. It's not as if there aren't others that also greatly affect health and for which there is no known cure. That is what I contest. I think that we can teach people to exercise caution with whom they are having intercourse without generalizing any crowd of people.

For someone out there I actually don't' want to go back to before I was infected. I managed to use those resources that might not have been available to me such as counseling to become better person. While it sucks I don't regret it. I've used it as a catalyst to make a number of improvements that I might not have been motivated to make before. I love myself enough now that I don't want to take a chance at changing anything in my past.

After reading this thread, I think I'll get tested one day this week. I met a "nice girl" recently and just broke up with her because she's way too jealous. She was waaaaaay too good at having sex. I wouldn't even call it making love. We were fucking. It was great but, in the back of my mind, all I could think about was "How did she learn all of that!?"

So yeah. Possibly infected with the virus from The Walking Dead, here. I'll find out soon.

I have unprotected sex with my gf all the time, if you're in a committed relationship and you both are hygienic with no history of STD there's no need to worry about contracting at all.

Of course if you want to spend the night with a random chick you pick up at a club yes, condom is a must. Or if your new gf/partner has a history of fooling around make sure you go and get both of you tested before engaging in any unprotected sex. HIV is pretty much a game over once you contract it.

As someone whom is HIV positive I can tell you rather patently that isn't true.  If you have health insurance you WILL live a long and healthy life with 1 pill a day.  HIV being a game over is a stereotype from the 80s that has been perpetuated in mainstream culture from far too long.  While there is definitly some social stigma from ignorant people that can make it more difficult to get laid but it's definitely no where near game over.

Not that I would encourage you to contract it in any way shape or capacity just wanted to correct that bit of misinformation.  You should definitely be using protection with anyone if you trust them or not. We can put our trust in the wrong people trust me I know from experience on that one. Anyone who professes to care about you will have no problem getting tested to show you that they are STD free.  Otherwise it's probably a great idea to wrap it up or move on.

Also, you can't catch HIV from quoting someone with the virus.  See?  I hope you guys are paying attention.

You can have sex without condom with multiple chicks as long as they're all virgins. That's my suggestion to you. it feels great!
