I'v seen a lot of hate for this game,harsh words for it... QTE fest, "it lacks depth", "looks generic" and lots more. Frankly the game looks kinda bad but I haven't played it yet, and that is what matters. How the game feels in your hands! You need to feel the controller in conjunction with the game to truly appreciate the game. So what if Ryse ends being the best game ever made or rated as one by the critics? Would you retract from your statements, or would you just say it was Cyrtek moneyhatting the critics?

What do you think? Does Ryse has the potential to be the best game ever? (or at least one of them?)

I think it can! First of all the setting is good, Rome! That's a good place to set a game, you can do some epic stuff!

Second, the battle system may have more depth than you think. Maybe the rumble triggers from the Xbox One in conjunction with the QTE make for an incredibly pleasurable experience! Also we still don't know all the weapons and moves our characters will have (I think) and that could add a great layer of depth to the gameplay!

Third, the story might be one of THOSE. A story that starts rather generic but it evolves into something really weird! Maybe there is a secret ending or something with Aliens!

Until the game is released we can't really judge it, but I belive in Ryse. I belive it can rise to the top of Metacritic. We just have to wait. 99 metacritic is a possibility...

I don't say it's going to be 90s but it looks way better than at E3. Graphically and gameplay.
Ryse has several problems which make people hate on it:

- former kinect-game -> doomed
- Crytek -> Bad games, "good" graphics (they are not ND)
- Xbox One exclusive -> Game has to be bad, Xbox only has Halo and Gears, both not releasing at launch
- They showed QTE on E3 -> People said QTE fest and everyone accepted this opinion

The devs have been tip-toeing around questions of Gods coming to the game. So maybe that might add something to the story. Also they've been pushing the story of Damocles in trailers and in the live action show. So I think he might show up in the game. I do believe it has the potential to be great. But I also believe most hate is coming from it being an Xbox One exclusive.

I REALLY hope that halfway through the game you hear someone shout "CUUUTTT" then everything zooms out and all this time it was just a movie set, the protagonist is fired from his job as an actor then the player goes through the rest of the game exploring the Protagonists sexuality, a theme I've wanted  to see in a game since I was like 10.

This game could get 52 perfect scores. I would just call it overhyped. However i really do want to get my hands on it to see how it feels. I like Roman shit.

Well it's true, first impressions can ruin the reputation of a game really bad. But I think that maybe once the reviews are out, the game could become something no one expected... a great game! But as I said it all comes down to feeling it with your hands. Once the game comes out we will see how it turns out. until then it's just people opinion on a gameplay video!

I want to at least try it out, but I expect poor from big name sites. reviews; 69-72 metacritic. If the game has an okay story, with playable game play, then I'll probably like it.

Well, if it turns out to be a great game that would be excellent news. The more great games the better for consumers.

Personally, I think the game will end up with a aggregate score somewhere around 70-79. A score of 99 will probably never be seen again.

Barely anyone is hating on DR3 and Forza 5 outside of F5 having less content than F4, so maybe we should be open to the fact that it really isn't a good action game. Also keep in mind the argument that people only hate it because its XBOne exclusive also works both ways.

Why would a score that high would be impossible to see? GTA IV did 98! (although it didn't deserve it in my opinion). Maybe this next gen we will se another game like that could scratch a 99 on Metacritic!
