I dont really agree with what you said. Its not what you say its how you say it. Simple as that. Its not my fault some people dont know how to word things respectfully. Same as its also not my fault that some people are way too emotional and touchy.

This site would be boring if everyone held hands singing about how much they love console gaming. Debating helps people to understand why something is popular/unpopular and the reasons behind it. You think Sony fans are arrogant?

You should have been on this site a few years back to see what PlayStation 3 owners had to put up with. I dont think any side is more antagonising than the other. I think its just in some peoples heads who just want to look for issues.

I will honestly admit that one of the things I enjoy most on the forums is the console wars, it's extremely amusing to see to what lengths some people go through to defend their product of choice
I enjoy it so much so that one of the first things I do when I visit this forum is search for 2 certain users that I know will never fail to amuse me with their unwavering love for a company and look what they've been doing while I was away... I think I'm a bad person.

I used to be more active in VGC, mostly to get info that would be scattered throughout internet and also to defend my choices.
I took a step back lately and let fly bunch of childish posts that usually would boil my blood. I looked as childish as they were if not more. Now I feel like I was pranked and drawn into useless arguments while bunch of people are laughing at my tamper tantrum on the opposite side of the screen.
Now I just point out how silly they are. You're right Jay.

You're basically asking for humans not to be humans. It's not going to happen. People who are cornered often lash out and they often break the rules of logical debate when they do so. You see this most often in politics but it's everywhere else, as well. It's not going to disappear just from home console discussion.

I'm new to this site, but I've definitely seen more of it recently and I can see it getting worse this upcoming gen. The fanboy wars will never change, or go away. It's part of the Internet ecosystem. Compared to other sites like IGN, Youtube, N4G, etc. This place is the most rational, that's why I like coming here. I feel, for the most part, I can engage others in thoughtful discussion about games, see passionate gamers without seeing complete fanboy GIFS, or hatred.

Well from my post history most of you xbox fan will see me as an either Sony fan or just a straight up microsoft hater but let me clarify that is not the case. It just that some of the overzealous microsoft fans tend to get on my nerves more than the Sony fanboys do personally. It just that I felt some of the xbox fans are fans of xbox for entirely wrong reason like economics protectionism and sometimes a straight up mislead patriotism like the user tuscaniman on this forum.

I have come across very mature and respectable xbox fans online (same for sony) and those are the times I manage to cool myself down and appreciate the games, the consoles and the companies who makes the gaming industry what it is today. I myself am getting a 360 this xmas and a xbox one or ps4 later down the line. If you are a fan of your respective company for gaming and the entertainment they bring to your living room and I have personally offended you, I hereby give you my apologies. It was nothing personal.
