I accept it.

PS4 will sell more on pricing and Xbox negative publicity alone. But X1 will outsell WiiU and carve out a decent niche.

I will still have my multiplats, Xbox centric exclusives, especially Halo. I couldn't be happier.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Welcome back dude!

The Xbox One will do fine and it might even do better than PS41 it all depends on Microsoft's actions the next years!

Okay, lets just get it out and settle it once and for all.

PlayStation 4 is going to sell the best this generation.
PlayStation 4 is the most powerful games console this generation.
Multi-plat titles are more often than not going to be better on PlayStation 4 this generation.
For TV and programming services, Xbox One will be best this generation.
Xbox One is going to easilly beat the WiiU this generation.
WiiU sales will improve but never enough to reach over 60M lifetime.
Resolution and framerate stability is going to more often than not be better on PlayStation 4.
There are, and are going to be, great games on all three systems, enough of them, and of a quality that warrant the purchase of each machine.
Online services and multiplayer for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are well worth the fees associated with them.
PC versions of multiplatform games are going to see a big boost in quality because of the new consoles.
As gamers, with all three consoles and PC getting better games in the future, we ALL win, regardless.

Once we accept this and move on to actually PLAYING the games, these forums are just doing to be a dire state of petty arguments, none of which benefit the community, or change the situation with the consoles in any way.

Most people bought the WiiU because they're nintendo fans (some are just fanboys), not because of the games, since you still (1 year latter) don't have a system seller (Wind waker HD and mario party U in japan were almost that).

"As gamers, with all three consoles and PC getting better games in the future, we ALL win, regardless." . As gamer with a tight budject this is just silly, but of course if you're rich you always win.

Nice posture... you don't delude yourself in convincing that the platform you preffer will sell more (but it actually could) but concentrate on the important part, the games you want to play...

I couldn't care less if Sony sold only one PS4 and one of each SW or 100M, as long as they keep releasing games that I like to play.

The day you can buy a new console, login with a nintendo account and access all of your saves, purchases and profile data, is the day they will be providing a tangible coherant service network, until then youre just a hardware id being bounced around.

And yet you have not demonstrated as to *why* they feel the need to charge for this, and what exactly we're paying for that isn't already monetized by the purchase of software. Where's the beef?

That's the reason Kahn.  Persistent data is part of it.  Servers aren't cheap and have a monthly cost associated with them.  Do I personally beileve I should be paying for online in something like Street Fighter?  Nope.  That can be done Peer to Peer like the old Quake 3 days (Or earlier).  Something like the upcoming Destiny?  I can see why you'd want it persistent.  Same with the other features Sony is giving you, uploading your own streams and storing them (I think they're stored), playing someone's game, downloads are only getting higher, PS4 games are reaching 30-40 gigs now, hell even the isntant video streaming you get when checking PSN games isn't cheap and it's very costly without some kind of revenue supporting it.  Either Sony starts putting massive ads or they charge you for online multiplayer.  I'd personally be more angry if they nuetered PS+ cause that by itself is worth paying for.  My last thoughts Kahn, I'd rather they go a hybrid approach.  Dedicated servers for the games that need them, p2p for those that don't (Like RE5 and Street Fighter).

Sometimes it has just gotta be done.

If you look at Sony's timeline in the industry, they by default tend to be the worlds choice of console almost any generation. PS3 aside, their time in the industry has largely been sheer dominance. But yes all three consoles have great things coming to them.
