Some people on Neogaf are saying that the update is 1.3 gigs, while some people on ign are claiming that it's 3.6 gigs.
So no one really knows what size th update is yet...

this is pretty much expected.   the day-1 patch will remove all that DRM and MS couldn't wait for that software part to be done before starting to manufacture/assemble.

if that's an issue for you,.. you probably don't need to wait for the slim.  six months from now, at the latest, this will be preloaded onto consoles.

...it's a small advantage but being able to play games on ps4 while waiting for the patch to download is nice.   but really, this isn't too much of an issue expect for those without internet and those guys should just not buy day-1.

well, it's better than nothing. I think Microsoft should include a disc with their update since you need it to do anything 

NeoGaf would be still complaining if the update were only 200KB.

Oh snap. I was just going to say that it wasn't going to be a big deal if the update was like a 100 Megs or something. The retailer could hook it up to the internet at the store and update it for any customer who doesn't have internet access. But 1.3 gigs is MASSIVE!!! That could be a bit of a problem. Stil lbetter than the original DRM box though.

that is very true lol, but that's why i said that no one really knows how big the update is. Neogaf isn't exactly impartial when it comes to the next gen consoles lol
