Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Why Forza Motorsport 5 has fewer cars and tracks than Forza 4

In other words they had to rush the game to meet launch and couldn't have as much content as they wanted on disc.

"emphasis on quality over quantity"
that doesnt make sense because GT6 has 200 quality cars, but its also just ported over the others for quantity too.
forza could have just added the extra ones in even if they dont look as good.
most people that play with wheels (like how its supposed to be) dont even use the exterior views, so as long as the handling is good and you can tell what car it is, its worth putting in rather than leaving it out

well, it's a rushed game, they need to meet at least 3 iteration of the same franchise in the whole gen.

I'm OK with 200 cars plus (less than I want but I can manage) but 14 tracks? That is downright abysmal. I am not happy with that at all.

It is more like 400+ Premium cars in GT6.

At least we can take something good from this news...

"Several of our tracks were just plain wrong"

I agree...  Nurburgring for example is a bad joke in Forza 4... so they know the tracks are wrong so fix them in the future.

PS. Killer Instinct will have only Arena Mode at launch... Arcade and Story Mode only after season 1.

PS2. GAFs rumors in July are right again... Forza 5 has less than half of the content than Forza 4... a stepback to the franchise.

Maybe they're trying to meet a deadline? Console launches are quite stressful.

In other words, "what would we add in Forza 6 in two years fromnow to get people to buy it?"

No. They will sell each new track and cars with paid DLC
