So what your saying that the Wii U will be irrelevant within a year or so.

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen. By: Suke |

That's below PS360. It was quite obvious that the Wii U is inferior to PS360 actually. 40/45 nm iterations of both the PS3 & X360 burn twice as much power as the Wii U which is also 40/45 nm. Sure the Wii U gpu might support a couple extra features since it is newer but that's about it. |
Stop hating and start playing.

I got the more close specs in AMD chartz... HD 4850 is a different arch... Wii U uses a GCN GPU.
PS3 would be 52 ALU ops * 4 floats per op *2 (madd) * 550 MHz = 228.8 GFLOPS
Xbox 360′s 48 ALU ops * 5 floats per op * 2 (madd) * 500 MHz= 240 GFLOPS.
Wii u 8 shader units with 20 alus in each = 160ALUs @ 550mhz =176gflop

Either way, the power of the WiiU isn't holding it back. It's the ripped off feeling casulas had after 3-4 months of playing on the Wii. My Wii still gets used alot(my kids), but almost everyone I know either threw theirs away or has it in a box or closet. The perception is when I ask around is that the WiiU is the Wii with a special controller. It's not about power, it's about perception.
It is near the end of the end....
How can one person say it's twice as strong as the PS3/360 and another say it's weaker than them. Let's try to agree on it cause it does not us who have no idea what they mean. Thing is it looks better than last gen to me from the potential I've seen, just not that much better tbf

it's basically a 360 with more ram, it's a sorry excuse for a nextgen console, your paying for last gen tech and no real third party support to boot.
lol raw power means nothing when comparing to last gen.
Even look at the CPUs form last gen they were faster (clock speed wise) than WiiU/PS4/ONE yet their CPUs are much better and more efficient.
Saying all that, obviously the Wii U is not in the same league as a ONE or PS4 and is closer to last gen.

It's Gaf and the internet, the U basically uses a propriety GPU which was developed by AMD (possibly using traits and features of various existing GPUs) and people over there have been trying to look smart by saying this is that and so on when truth is no one knows what the GPU is or whether it's based on anything out which by the looks of the image from months ago it isn't hence why it's the most espensive component in the console and why the are all sorts of conflicting speculation from so called experts.
