And Ryse is QTE with more QTE's on top of even more QTE with what looks like overly simplistic gameplay so what's the problem? GoW at least offers a variety of combat methods whether your dodging or using magic.

Defensive much?

I haven't played Ryse so I'm not sure how complex it is. But my eyes roll when people pretend GoW is a complex.

Where did I state its complex? In fact most games are simplistic, especially GoW and what GoW does it does well. Can't say the same about Ryse and won't say it until I actually play it, but judging by the gameplay I'm not overly impressed.

I roll my eyes too, when users attempt to interpret other users emotions.

Oh, we're gonna play stupid?

You obviously responded the way you did because you didn't like what I said about GoW. You got defensive and went on the the attack towards Ryse. In your games collection you even gave GoW3 a 10.

Everyone knows why you got defensive, simmer down.

No reason to play stupid just being truthful, but insinuate all you want.

Lol, what does my GoW rating have to do with this? I like GoW just like I like Halo, which I probably also rated a 10 or as close to a 10 as I can get using my tablet. Perhaps it is you who is being a tad overzealous? Maybe you got up in arms because you didn't like what the other user said about Ryse am I spot on?

So lets not play these puerile games.

I don't like the way Ryse looks gameplay-wise and you are clearly content with the way it looks. That is simply wonderful.

You got angry that I said GoW isn't complex, so went on a tirade towards Ryse. Its clear as day and its cute.

Wait... I just got an idea... tirade... or Tyrade! That can be a name for a Crytek game. I'm gonna be a rich man.

Hmmm... I have mixed feelings towards Ryse. It looks interesting, but I fear it may lack depth. I don't have feelings strong enough to praise it... or attack it like yourself. All I can say is I do want to try it. I've played a lot of bad games, like the GoW series, I guess I can make time for Ryse as well. :-p

Looks amazing, best combat ever in a hack and slash game. I just hope there is some kind of difficulty setting.

...Devil May Cry 3 called...it wants to teach you what a hack and slash game is supposed to be like.

This is more of a hack and QTE game.

They aren't even attempting to make a game like DMC3.

Its clearly inspired by Assassins Creed.

Which is my point. Assassin's Creed/Arkham style of combat is not hack and slash.

The combat looks less complicated than a DMC or GoW, but it looks really pretty. It's hard to assess the depth of the mechanics until we get our hands in it.

A. You're comparing Ryse with very different games. As I mentioned before, Ryse is going for a combat system more similar to Assassins Creed.

B. The combat in GoW has zero complexity. Button mash and QTEs.

God of War has multiple weapons and switching between them while performing certain combinations can make battles much easier.  Mashing will keep you from passing certain points.  If you're comparing the combat to Assassin's Creed, with it's block > counter > kill fighting, it doesn't get simpler than that.

No you said something about how GoW has  QTE as if it was an issue and I said Ryse looks like a bunch of QTE's so what's the issue. GoW has variety I mean you can roll around, jump and use magic aside from pressing X and Square. But nowhere did I say its complex. And it's not complex as I stated. It just gives me more to do then press attack, from what I've seen from Ryse that isn't the case. But I'm only going off what I've seen, have to actually play the game to be critical.
