What he actually said was: "this is definitely the most impressive looking next gen game I've seen"

...which could mean nothing at all

Actually he said This is DEFINATELY the most impressive looking next gen title Ive seen so far. At least from a technical standpoint. So art aside, Technically Ryse is KING!

I said all along, Ryse would win Graphics awards. It will just watch. Kinda funny considering Resolutiongate

Now that you shared his whole quote, it ACTUALLY means nothing. Impressive looking is not the same as actually being impressive from a technical standpoint. And i doubt he has done some sort of analysis.

Unh? His quote is this.

"This is DEFINATELY the most impressive looking next gen title Ive seen so far. At least from a technical standpoint."

He says it is from a technical standpoint at least. Completely dismissing that he means artistically.

My god xD

Did Lair teach us nothing about technically impressive launch titles? Has Crytek not shown themselves as makers of polished nonsense?

A game that got a slight downgrade and runs at 900p is the best looking so far for "next gen" ? Oh boy...

I think all the stars are aligned to this:

And yes God Selnor, I will be out of the thread right away, and will be getting a new pair of prescription glasses, etc, etc... You and your sidekick can rest in peace. Untill the reviews are out :p

Technically, this game does look great. But I'm not as impressed by it as I am by Killzone Shadow Fall.

Close, but not quite there. And I'm not much of a FPS fan to begin with.

Hey now, take that back! The original Crysis is still a gem!

Crysis never impressed me technically. It can look great with all the right mods, sure. But technically, when it came out, it was mediocre. The engine wasn't really efficient and it had problems running on just about every single build back then. Now, sure, the PCs can run it great, but it hasn't really aged well. I never understood why people were so impressed by it, to be honest.

It's a shame gamers are becoming more and more focused on graphics rather than what makes games what they are... mechanics, immersion etc...
I'll play Crackdown,State of Decay,Journey and Mario 100x before I play any Hollywood polished interactive movie that came out recently.

i remember IGN also said crysis 2 on consoles was the best looking console game when it came out.

Deary me, how that turned out!

lol and it was barely running on consoles too. what a garbage game it was (atleast on consoles). of course this is just my opinion.

and since this thread is clearly about opinions i would honestly like to know yours CGI, what do you think is the best looking launch tittle? since you know, your obssessed with graphics.

All of that is completely irrelevant to the point. Never mind that your last sentence goes for any console in pre-laucn status.

I disagree. The PS4 is now split up with no Camera EYE. Devs wont want to use it. Shame as Kinect 2.0 is blindingly accurate and responsive. The snap on feature the guy showed us all on The One is Id say 0.5 seconds? Def under 1 sec. And the seamless switching of apps. Xbox One is really impressive stuff. It felt fres, it didnt feel like just a more pwerful Xbox. It felt futurisitc, it felt new.

Also the triggers on Forza 5. Holy C**p. Once you try this, without it would seem gimpy. Microsoft have REALLY delivered on these triggers. Its like watching Gladiator. Watcing it in stereo would be like no rumble triggers. Watcing it with 6.1 Surround is like playing with rumble triggers. Not a necessity, but SO SO much better.

This just tells me how far you're willing to go to ignore anything the competition could potentially bring to the table. As such, I'm done here.

???

Not selling PS EYE with every PS4 completely destroys any real hold with gamers on that tech. Im not ignoring anything. Its a bad move in the long run to not include it. It will bite them in the backside. Sure so called core gamers are praising it. But the casuals who loved Wii and Kinect, will not buy and play PS4 for Killzone.

They want fitness, sports, party games etc. Kinect 2.0 is so responsive this time it will draw in family orientated games that actually play well.

would love to see Star Wars Kinect 2. Now it can literally be 1:1 perfection against Vader.

Sony havent really got anything to draw me away from Microsoft. I have yearly subs using Xbox Music. I use Xbox Video to buy HD films with smartglass features already. I want hundreds of Windows 8 Apps lying on my couch on a 50"TV. I want to also be able to play great core games as well as family fun. I want to control all my IR devices with one swift Voice command.

Sont needs more than 100 dollars cheaper to get me to even look at it.

So yes, I have seen what the competition is doing. Im glad people will enjoy  them. But if anything the launch lineups and functionality of it as a whole has completely turned me off PS4 for its first few years. Maybe when its 150 quid.

Who are you trying to convince? We all know that there is nothing ANYONE can do to make you look at anything other than something Microsoft.
