As long as they pin updates to a certain time (say midnight) it's no big deal.

Midnight where?

Japan

Exactly!!

lol, if its midnight in japan, then it is 10:00 a.m. in new york, and it would 4 p.m. in london, imagine all of the pissed off people if they tried that

So, they’ve "worked very hard to overcome" the issue, "but that’s not to say it’s going to be a reality in every case."

More info is required here. Especially considering that multiplayer is a service we pay for and that we expect nothing but the highest standards.

Otherwise I might just start thinking about PSN.

If this was the old days where I could lose 4 hours of Final Fantasy progress I would be pissed. Now the biggest issue is Titanfall might not be playable while the cloud updates.

Edit: misunderstood evidently.  Still kind of annoying, but not as annoying as I thought

Probably wont be a big deal if you are playing single player, as you should be able to resume exactly where you left, but I would be ticked if it happened in the middle of a multiplayer match. Plus, with everybody having different download speeds, you would probably have 20 minutes or so of everybody dropping off live as teir system reboots. MS needs a better solution...

Your system won't reboot, only the server will,it's talking about server updates

It's ok guys MS are just using the cloud to rain love down on you...wait...that's not rain!

Oh, i guess I misunderstood when it talked about the physical machine needing a reboot.  So not quite as bad then.

Seriously though, the xbo should be able to suspend the game so progress isnt lost. It can when going to tv right? Why not?

At the very least this is going to ruin a fair share of multiplayer experiences. Of course since they are charging for XBOX Live this could be a significant issue especially since they promoted the shit out of dedicated servers.

To their credit they are at least being candid about this.
