Google for older ones, was a dev having a nag about it on twitter a few years back, but then deleted tweets, probably for discussing private info, but I'm sure are news stories about it somewhere.

I never knew any of this. Thanks for sharing.

He either changed his opinion, or he's trying too hard at not pissing Xbox fans off. well now he's pissed everyone off. It's funny because Adam Sessler is generally one of the most well liked video game reviewers out there. One stupid comment and everyone hates him. Gamers are a tricky bunch.

I believe the phrase he's being described as is "Microsoft  shill". It wasn't just that he changed his mind. He changed his mind because it was the Xbox (not the PS4) that is having the "issues". This is the same guy who tried to downlplay the price disparity between the PS4 and XBone by saying that because with PS4, you're gonna buy PS+, the console is "more like a $460 console, which is more in line with what Microsoft is going for if Xbox Live Gold was free". That is complete misinformation to put the light in favor of the Xbox. To say you're gonna get a subscription service on one platform to make it look more expensive and ignore that people will buy a subscription service on the other platform to make it look cheaper screams of shillery.

With every piece of negative PR the XBone has gotten, he's downlplayed it or downright contradicted prior statements he's made so the Xbox doesn't look as bad

It's the same guy who cried and said Sony ruined his life because he had to go somewhere to do his job

"Fanboys Attack Adam Sessler Over Controversial PS4, Xbox One Comments"

Fixed the title

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I think is fair for people to criticize him on this, just not to this extent. For instance his reviews are almost always bias and i have a much bigger problem with that. Obviously his trying not to piss xbox fans and micro$oft itself. People change their opinions with time, and as long you're honest about it no problem with me. But Adam is having a hard time with that. He should be more honest, but most of the time gamers ( fanboys) don't want honesty. They want to hear the game or the console they intend to buy is going to be amazing even when there's plenty of evidence to the contrary.

"And gamers should be angry about that."

No. If a company isn't making a product you want, don't buy it. Thats it. I don't understand gamer rage.

Yup gamers are a bunch of whinny self intitled babies that know little about the industry but claim they know alot.

On the topic of Sessler, who cares. I wanted 1080p60 this gen too. But guess what? Neither of the consoles are going to consistently offer it. At least not at launch. So what are my options? I can accept that fact and move on or become PC exclusive. Sessler is no different.

Yeah, sometimes one just needs to be rational. I really wanted my next car to offer only the best safety for me and my family. But guess what? I found out that no car model available can actually guarantee perfect safety, that nobody will be hurt in just any possible scenario. So instead of going for the closest option, I completely dropped that criterion altogether and bought a family motorcycle instead.

It was such a good choice, one feels so much closer to nature. Already on my first ride I saw a fox trying to eat sour grapes from a vine - I probably wouldn't have even noticed if I were driving a car!

In the end it's all about people not being hypocrites. Yes the resolution is important, but is not the most important thing on the consoles. At the same time one can't say that even though you're paying 100$ more for the Xbone the fact that it is an graphically inferior console (even if it's just a little bit) is not important at all.

I've said some appropriately insulting things to him via Youtube and Twitter in the past, so I'll leave this one alone.

Increasingly demanding games forcing lower resolution and fps is a valid question for the Xbone though. There wil undoubtedly be a time in the future where a multiplat game is so big that it requires the PS4 version and most PC builds to only get it to play by lowering the resolution to 720p and 30 fps. What would happen to the Xbone version then?

Easy: they develop multiplats on Xbox One and port up to PS4. Problem solved; Xbox One gets a playable version and PS4 will get better framerates/resolution and possibly a graphics upgrade (albeit slight, they don't want t ospend too much money now).

While not ideal, it'll be a lot like the PS2 versus Xbox. Whine all you want that multiplatform games will be hamstringed by Xbox One; it happened this gen with 360 and PS3, you know. Xbox 360 uses DVDs and as such PS3 versions suffered because they had to find ways to fit on DVDs first and then Blu-Rays.

The BuShA owns all!

don't really care. I could give a second thought about resolution. As I play games, just for fun. 720p,1080,4,000, I don't even know exactly what all that means and I don't care 2 know.
