DAT is the sexiest looking launch game so far !! hope Sony is going to advertise it much near launch and post-launch.

Looks great. Has gotten me re-excited for next friday. On another note, it took me slightly more than a  minute to download the zip, I am loving my new internet connection.

This is really the best looking next gen game!

I am not sure of what I am saying but... did I notice some new antialiasing in effect on this new footage? Some former FXAA artifacts are longer there and instead I noticed subtle clues about...MLAA?

Take that with a pinch of salt... what do you think?

"We use FXAA + TMAA now, will dig deeper in a future publication, but it does complement each other.."

I found your question

I found your question

Yes it seems I was right about some new morphological AA used by Guerrilla Games on the last video; it is apparently SONY's TMAA, I would say maybe meaning Transparent or Temporal Morphological Anti Aliasing.

The problem about only FXAA (like in BF4) is that it reduces only sub pixel shimmering but does not really remove long edges (as seen in TLOU and the first KZSF build with the buildings). Here it seems they begin to use some morphological AA (TMAA) to remove long edges (we can see that with for instance the long edges of the building are almost perfectly antialiased, but not FXAAed blurred and others long edges as the gun's and also I can see Morphologicaly antialiased edges clues everywhere) and finally they use a very slight FXAA to remove the shading shimmering and from the mesh for instance and the remaining aliasing.

I can see the FXAA is slight because, well because the branches for instance are not so FXAAed blurred like for instance BF4 strong FXAA and there are others clues, obvious for me, which proves clearly that the FXAA is very light. I am even surprised how light the FXAA is on some parts of the video, one could think there is no FXAA applied like I first thought...I very much like that.

Very smart combination of Morphological AA + slight FXAA I dare say. That is the best news of this video guys!

Because from now on this new morphological AA (TMAA) will be used by every Worldwide Sony Studios and even on future multiplats.

Watched. Looks like it might be fun. 60FPS is going to make a huge difference to the multiplayer side.

They really need to place a FoV slider in console games, this is becoming crazy with how confinied they are making these games. The game is unplayable in its current state.
