I agree. Throw a Zelda: Wand of Gamelon HD in there.

You see ow people forget The Wonderful 101! it is a new franchise, exclusive to Wii U and it is one of the best action games so far. But people like to read reviews instead of playing the games. Yet they call themselves gamers.
Exactly cbsrosso thats why they should release the new mario kart8 and the rest as soon as possible. People cant talk those games down.
They definetly should also make a F Zero Gx and a few other sequels
A new franchise would be great but also reviving old ones as well. Kid Icarus Uprising was an awesome game and it sold well, now, I'd like to see them make an action RPG version for Wii U. Same for Star Tropics and Mach Rider.

The Wonderful 101 is a new IP. If they make The Wonderful 102, then the game has just become a franchise on its own.
The sales of Wonderful 101 don't justify a franchise (a new game). However, if they nailed it with Bayonetta 2, then the franchise has successfully become part of Nintendo, and they can keep pumping out games from it.
Every system has new franchises. If I wasn't clear, I meant a new, system-moving, loved-by-everyone franchise. Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, NintendoLand, these are new franchises, but nothing that will captivate a broad audience.
I'm talking about titles that create schoolyard/dormroom/office buzz. The graphics of DKC blew minds. Wii Sports gameplay was like nothing else. Brain Training sucked in moms. NSMB stirred long-dormant memories in platformer fans from decades earlier. This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. New isn't good enough. New and buzz-worthy is what's needed.

They could make some kind of minecraft rip off. They have the opportunity, Mojang is way too slow to update their game. |
I like this combination of thoughts. I don't think Kriby has mass appeal, but a fresh concept that rips off Minecraft is perfect for the Nintendo audience. A fully online interactive creative sandbox experience. Share levels or creations using MiiVerse...
After W101 bomba, i come to realise that every time some one say:" Nintendo, we want a new ip", they are actually asking: "give me a new shooter with a film-based storyline, gorgeus ultra realistic graphics, and with online multiplayer where I can shoot everyone and prove that ima the bezt!1!!!!"
Nintendo own a s***ton of ip's that they don't use for some generations now. If more of then could get the Kid ikarus treatament, we could get in something big here. Fatal frame is a survival horror game where you use play in third person, and then shoot photo in first person. Its perfect to use with the game pad, but where are yet to see this obvious game debut on nintendo plataforms. Star tropics, wave racer, fzero, star fox, takamaru castle, thelist goes on and on...
If nintendo could put 1 game of each off their franchise once in every 2 years, we were well serverd for the entire generation.
The reason sony put out so many ip is because they don't have that many.
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
