As a franchise, it has its flaws; the controls in 1 and 2 were horribly laggy, (thankfully 3 fixed this) and the story/characters are terrible and unrelateable throughout.

Time will tell if Shadowfall continues this trend or rises above it.

How could you not enjoy KZ2 MP. By far the best fps. The weighty controls with the deadzone of the ds3 along with what almost felt like deliberate input lag led to moments that just oozed a war feeling like no other. The atmosphere and map design in general (with graphics) were also insane.

I can't comment on the online as I have no interest in it and thus never tried it, but in single player the "weighty" controls just felt loose, like my character was drunk.

I really liked Killzone 2 thanks to the game mode being everything all in one game. Killzone 3 didnt grab me though.

Do you ever not try to instigate an argument?  Gears also has a lot of lore.  Read the books and  visit the forums to see this as the world is huge.  Gears would be similar to worlds like Mass Effect and Halo in terms of size and story. Gears is also one of the most strategic shooters  and has some of the most unique weapons on the market which is why it is hard to jump in multiplayer.  The good players and the new players move vastly different.

But yes Shadow fall does look like the best Ps4 launch title.  I actually like Killzone myself.

Well, I shall give kz mp another go then! Saw some of that vid, it looked good, but I don't particualry remebered getting engrossed into the mp. Maybe, I was just busy during that time, not sure.

KZ2 MP felt off, it was good, it looked good, but i never felt like i was having fun. KZ3 different story i dont know what happened, it just clicked. Maybe they made it faster maybe its the use of Move(seriously its like they made the game for it) but i still play it, Hell im enjoying the Vita MP as well.

I loved Killzone and bought a PS3 the day KZ2 came out. I tried to like it, but the SP was dreadfully boring and entirely by the numbers, and the MP was like MW2, it was epic for like a month before people realized how broken it was then it became shit. I also bought KZ3 day one to give it another chance and it was also shit. All imho of course, so no need to be upset. What if I told you I found every Halo after the original (not counting Wars) to be equally crappy, does that make you feel better?

The thread is about KZ so please save the nonsense about other platforms and games. And I agree, the story potential of KZ is absolutely amazing. Too bad they never come close to realizing it. LOL @ tactical. That's just something KZ fans like to say.

As long as you can find a good server with a decent team balance: It's fun as fuck. HARD as fuck, but also fun as fuck. Not for the weak hearted XD Played it for a good 3 hours just now haha
