PS4's and Xbones will be flying off shelves. The console war will be at an all time high. But it's really the games lineup that is shaping up to be one of the most amazing ever.

Destiny - new IP that may be a heavy hitter for the next generation. First time BUNGIE is on PlayStation in a loooong time.

TitanFall - new IP that will also be a heavy hitter. Exclusivity gives it even more hype. 

InFamous: Second Son - looks amazing. enough said. 

The Order: 1886 - new ip with a lot of potential

Metal Gear Solid V - we havent had a true MGS on consoles since 2008. 

Black Ops III - the first real next gen COD. probably on a significantly updated engine that is more optimized for PS4/XB1.

Watch Dogs - ubisofts shiny new ip. 

The Division - one of the few true next gen games we've seen. stole the show at e3.

Halo 5 - MS' biggest exclusive. will be interesting to see how it fares in comparison to Destiny.

Uncharted 4 - with the jump to next gen, the UC team sat this year out so UC4 will have had the longest dev cycle of any in the series.

Also, Indies galore. Possibly Final Fantasy XV. Possibly Gran Turismo and The Last of Us ports in 1080p. Possibly a new IP from Epic Games, which could be the icing on the cake. 

PSN/XBL updates and improvements... as well as glitches and meltdowns. It will be an entertaining time. 

2013 will have both systems selling out at launch and Xmas... but in 2014 we're really going to get a good look at how this gen will turn out (sales wise). Enjoy this time fellas.... new generations only come around every 7-8 years.

Hmm, some pretty big heavy hitters there. 2015 or 2016 could top it but 2014 has a good amount of new IP's, reboots like thief and sequels to man beloved gaming franchises. You could very well be right.

How long have you been gaming? I'm curious, I think a lot of older gamers might disagree.

Purely speculation at this point. Uncharted 4 you can take to the bank for 2014. SSM and MM might be 2015 titles. We really dont know. 

I can't remember the last time we saw so many new IP's in one year before. The Order 1886, Destiny, Titanfall, Division, Watch Dogs, Drive Club, plus the long overdue revival of Metal Gear Solid. 

Mirrors Edge 2 would be another awesome title that could be 2014. 

You dont have to like nintendo but how can you forget Them titles O.o?

You missed out loads of Nintendo games as well as Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Garden Warfare and Fable Legends!

Destiny and Titanfall alone will be massive games. They're the top contenders for the FPS crown.

It's not every year that monster franchises like COD and Halo get tough competition like those two games will give them.... and they're both coming out in 2014.


@Nintendo fans... Sorry but Wii U is a dying system. Not even 4 million sales in 1 year, and not much 3rd party support. PS4/XB1 will both surpass it in the next year.

I wasnt trying to make it into a fanboy exclusive list war. I know youre a hardcore Xbox fan, but please try to refrain from that.

We've yet to see any gameplay from those games and didnt get release dates for them. 

Half the games you listed don't have dates. What's the harm in putting the ones he listed in?
