Just In:
Adjustments been made and smash is at 142k preorders in us week before direct(next week should be 60k plus)
Bayonetta 2 ends over 80k

plus smash is beating mk8 by 30k

Nintendo news of 24/10/2014: 

  • Weekly Global charts, week ending 11th of Oct: The 3DS sold an incredible 359k units (an increase of 154%) with the release of the N3DS and MH4G; and a total of 2.2 million games. It's best selling game was, of course, MH4G (Japan only), and sold an amazing 1.5 million units (2 million when including digital). This is bigger than the original (incredible). Then comes Smash 3DS which sold (huh) 344,344 units... Then comes YW2 with 58k units sold. Lower we see Tomodachi Life, Pokemon X/Y, Fantasy Life, AC: NL, and MK7. The Wii U sold 41k units (a decrease of 11%), and 195k units of games (a decrease of 1%). It's best selling game were Hyrule Warriors, Skylanders Trap Team, MK8, Disney Infinity 2.0, and 3D World.
  • NOTE: many games released this week, so the games that usually have numbers (MK8, Pokemon, etc) are low on the charts. But they sold anywhere between 32k (Hyrule Warriors) and ~8.5k (3D World).
  • Wii U can use 2 GC controller adapters!
  • Refurbished Wii U's are sold out at the official Nintendo store!
  • What is this? The Wonderful 101 prototype videos!
