Really happy about the R/S remakes. I'll probably continue my pattern of getting the 2nd version, so Alpha Sapphire for me :P

Aside from the obvious bad news there's some stuff to look forward to at least. Apparently Nintendo spent $270m on R&D in a single quarter? (Correct me if I'm wrong, just a piece of info that's been flying around today) It has to be something big, either a new piece of hardware or something related to the QoL platform.

Nintendo News: May 7, 2014

• New Pokemon game announced! Coming out worldwide in November, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are probably remakes of the Generation 3 games. No footage has been shown so far, but they are widely speculated to be using the X/Y engine.
• No gay relationships will appear in the Western version of Tomodachi Life. People are upset.
• This past year, Nintendo lost money... again. Cue the cries to go mobile. Also, they released some sales data.
• According to weekly sales numbers, Super Mario 3D World has passed 2 million sales! Wii U weekly sales fell under 30,000, though still within spitting distance of the 360, while the 3DS rose to over weekly 110,000 sales. Yokai Watch and Mario Party: Island Tour each passed 800,000 sales, NSMBU is a month or two away from reaching 4 million sales, and Just Dance 2014 for the Wii passed 3 million sales when I wasn't looking.
• Hyrule Warriors is still coming this summer (which technically can be September) in Japan.
• Mario Kart 8 is getting an app.
• The 2DS is getting a security update.
• Nintendo has spent $100 million on... something. We're pretty sure it's tech related.
• Sakurai wants you to buy The Wonderful 101. Not enough to make the heroes playable though...

Any idea on the current positions/score? I overrated the tests, they were really easy, so maybe I get back this weekend!

Now we've got this cleared up, it's waaaay too early to talk about tourneys. But there's always the option of taking the official thread for the games?
