April seems like the better bet considering Nintendo doesn't really like to "rush" things out.

Anything could happen. The money could make them want to rush it.

Didn't they rush MK7 to get it before christmas (and with the help of Retro Studios)?

That's why I said it's debatable. Nintendo usually holds themselves to the value of taking time on games, as was said by Miyamoto, but dire situations call for dire answers.

No need to rush Mario Kart 8 by a month. They said spring and it would most likely be coming out in April. Now, if they were to delay it to fall. Then we start to panic.

If there isn't an announcement soon, then it will probably be delayed to Summer/Autumn.
