Really? I mean like Chrom and Lucina die, it will give you a game over screen, because the story cannot progress without them. Other characters appear in cutscenes that can die, maybe that's what they meant.

What you say makes more sense anyway, also adds an extra sense of suspension to the game.

Yeah, with advanced wars(same type of gameplay), you just send your guys in and let them do battle. With this game, you have to send your guys in, have someone go in there and rescue them, bring them back, heal them and send them back again.

But judging from what i've seen from it, it looks pretty fun to play :)
