That gamexplain analysis really got my head thinking. During the analysis I was able to see the plot of the game based on previous entries, because every FE game uses the same philosophy.

Anyway, I think they are waiting for Chuggaaconroy to do the Xenoblade X trailer.

I read somewhere that Nintendo may announce a new system. Is that true? If so, when? I was planning on picking up a WiiU in a few months but i may just wait if that's true.

Nintendo is making a new system like the other two. it's not coming until holiday 2016 at earliest, probably 2017

The system they may announce soon is the Quality of Life thing. A next gen console can be announced (at the earliest) at 2016, which could mean a launch in late 2017. So don't worry about that.

The rumor is that they will anounce a new system in 2016. This would mean the system releases in 2017...But this new system could also be just a handheld.

Nintendo news of 17/01/2015: Here's the full NPD news by Boutros!

  • Nintendo's NPD: During December, the 3DS saw it's biggest software sales ever (for first parties. Dat spin) and sold around 810k units. The Wii U had an extraordinary month, with it being it's best hardware selling month ever with 580k units sold. Now onto SW: For the month of December, Super Smash Bros. 4 was the 4th best selling game in US, and the 6th best selling game of the year 2014! By SKU's in Decemeber, SSBU was 4th best selling game, followed by Pokemon OR, SBB3DS, and Pokemon AS. In total, Pokemon ORAS have sold over 2.6 million units; SSB3DS over 2 million units; Mario Kart 8 1.7 million units; SSBU 1.3 million units (these figures include digital sales). We have a lot more sale numbers though: Captain Toad: TT 250k units, NES Remix (3DS + WiiU) 130k units, Just DAnce 2015 (Wii) 450k units, Yoshi's Island and Tomodachi Life 400k units, Kirby TD 360k units, DKC: TF 440k units, Hyrule Warriors 370k units and may more! Lastly, Amiibo have sold around twice as much as SSBU, which equals around 2.5 million units!(NOTE: Every single one of these numbers are only for the region of US)
  • The MH devs were interviewed about the lack of a Wii U version for MH4U, about Nintendo as a partner, and more.
  • Region Lock can be beaten! By pirates, sadly.
  • The new FE trailer was analyzed by the folks at GameXplain!
