Anyway, I calculated this based on NPD from this year and last year. This year Jan-Nov has the Wii U at 1.04M. Last year's YTD is at 1.2M. 40% up from that is 1.69M. Going by VGChartz 2013 week ending December 21st, it would be 1.51M. We don't know if he's talking about Jan-November when he says up 40% though, so I wouldn't place that in the title.

give or take 100k from overtracking of 2013
that would put wii u around 500k in 3 weeks with christmas week and the week after still left

Did VGChartz do adjustments after NPD reports? In some months Wii U seemed to be overtracked, by a lot even. 



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
