Who needs those anyways, we'll get Miiverse which is about a thousand times better. Thank all those people sending each other porn over swapnote. How desperate can you get (and why would you fap to 240p images if you can have free FullHD porn on the internet?)

Also thank Pokemon, I bet many children got some thanks to how easy it is to add someone on your friendlist you don't even know via X/Y.

Never used swap note, but the reason for shutting down the service sounds stupid.

If true, then I guess the Miiverse art feature will be monitored like the comments and anything offensive will be silenced like a old school cold war era communist country.

I blame D21Lewis.

But seriously though, it's a really unfortunate turn of events. I'm betting that the issue was exacerbated by Pokemon X/Y and how you can become friends with complete strangers just by trading/battling with them (I was quite surprised on how easy it was to become friends, especially for Nintendo ).

Hopefully this means that we'll see 3DS Miiverse functionality soon, but it's still unfortunate that this great little app was cancelled because of a few bad apples.

This guy right here (NoName2200) messaged me ~40 SwapNotes in about 10 minutes so that I could have access to pointless (but awesome) stationary.

Didn't realize peopler were attaching pictures to Swapnote to spread things. If they want to avoid that, then they need to ban all image/picture support, right?

Yep, then they could only write dirty to each other and draw dirty images.  They should have at least just blocked the image sharing first before taking the whole thing down considering it seems to be the sharing of porn images that was the main problem.
