I'm pretty sure few idiots out there are going to cancel their pre-order for a ridiculous reason but it is certainly not a "mass cancellation" like the misleading title of this thread.

There is no hardware explanation for this. The Battlefield face-off shows cleary that a 30% discrepancy is acceptable without any compromise.

The options are:

CoD engine never was that scalabe. Even when almost every multplatform look as good (or better) on the PS3 than on the 360 IW could´nt match both versions, and they had 7 years for that.

One might assume, also that they divided the teams too thin developing for 6 different platforms.

The PS4 1080p dosen´t look that great, I would´t be surprised they are rendering low assets and textures and using in-engine upscale, and in the case of the XOne the upscale is done by its hardware.

Battlefield 4 shows again the XOne upcale technology is realy powerfull.

If pixels don't matter then why the hell are PC gamers always upgrading there PCs?

It wasn't downgraded. Crytek did stae that at E3 the game was at 900p just upscaled to 1080p,, much like what it is now.  It was never native 1080p. I am sure selnor posted a link in one of his threads lol. Can't remember which one . 

cause they have too much money to waste  lol. Heck i still use my overclocked Nvidia gtx460 1gb  card. Still plays alot of games on good settings especially bf3 and witcher 2 :D

No its definetly not the same. Resolution does not determin everything. It will still look vastly superior on Xbone even if both Consoles would run it at 720p.

There is stuff like animations, textures, antialiasing, lighting, physics, particles,polygons it will still look much better on the Xbone than on the 360. I could play gta 3 theoretically in 4k it would still look poor in comparison to a 1080p GTA 5.

Pixels do matter (alot actually) especially for people who care about graphics. Those people are enthusiast PC gamers.  

I have a 55" 1080p tv. If the Xbox one exclusives are not enough to hold me over, the resolution amongst multiplatform titles can be a legit issue. And yes, gameplay is king.  But resolution is icing on the cake. Especially when you pay less for more icing. Now, you have more money to play more games. Works out pretty well, doesn't it? 

I would bet that most are just trolling since it would be stupid to cancel the order now and risk the chance of not getting to play cod when it releases. Yes this may mean future cod may sell better on ps4 later on but who knows maybe the cod team will have there crap together by then
