It's really apparent how profoundly some of these titles have been affected by digital distribution.  Mario and Luigi digital sales are excellent,  as well as Animal Crossing sales.

What about the issue about Nintendo? Nintendo has pre-empted a potential issue with the 3DS system – even before the Nintendo 3DS release date. The Nintendo 3DS eye strain issue could stunt the development of children’s eyes. This eye strain issue is not unique to the 3DS system, but Nintendo is the first company to attack it head-on.

Interesting first post lol what does that have to do with the thread tho

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Some under tracking here is obvious, or digital sales are immense.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Animal Crossing is in line considering how big digital sales have been. Looks like Mario & Luigi as well and Luigi's Mansion have been under-tracked though.

Well...
As we have been discussing for some time, it´s impossible to have a clear view of the software market only with retail sales.
Nintendo fans have been buying a lot of games on digital format. Capcom has been cutting the price of their games a lot lately, too, and they keeping doing it. Games like Resident Evil Revelations surely surpasse 1 million copies sold,

Dream Team did better than Paper Mario, considering holidays hasn't hit yet and people said they were too close to each other.
Luigi's Mansion has already passed the 3m mark, quite impressive. Can it top 4m?
AC is another beast, already at 2m here in the west.
Then there is my enemy DKCR:3D, never imagined it would do this much.

When is 1,3mil undertracking called 'in line' ? :S
or do you mean the physical copies look like they are in line?

Yeah I mean including digital looks like in line. Nintendo reported around 800k digital sales of AC in Japan alone, so another 500k overseas is not out of the question since it has had a higher portion of digital sales than other games. That said, I doubt Mario & Luigi had almost 40% digital. Even Luigi's Mansion figure of 20% digital seem a lot to me, but maybe it isn't far off tbf to VGC. Looking at DKC though, it does seem undertracked. Maybe if we do get a breakdown of digital/physical sales for these games it would give a clearer picture.

Anyways great sales for all these titles! Glad that all of them are million sellers.. great year for 3DS indeed! Still Zelda and Pokemon to be included, arguably the 2 biggest titles for the 3DS, as well as Mario Party.

I'm amazed their digital sales are as good as they are.

The lack of account system means I will never buy from the eShop, its simply broken imo.

If it had an account system I'd be inclined to get everything from it which would cut out manufacturing/distribution costs etc. That would surely benefit NIntendo?

It boggles my mine the backwards system they have in place.

Anyway OT - some impressive sales, 3DS is doing well.
