What are we discussing here? Wii U moved up, it's now only the second biggest flop this gen. Doesn't matter which is last if they are both flops.

You implied NIntendo did not put out "a few new IPs per gen", or make games from legacy IPs, which is not true. They may have not have gotten around to this on Wii U yet, but the thing hasn't even been out for a year yet. If you want a new IP on Wii U, there's Wonderful 101 and ZombiU.
It's weekly US sales have stayed relatively steady since Zelda dropped. 3 weeks now. Glad to finally see it showing some vital signs.
Not expecting too much out of Christmas without Mario Kart 8 (really missed an opportunity to have MK8 and SM3DW drop during the holiday season) though.

ok and? Both are flops but the worst flop passed the other flop. So thats wat this thread is about?
Vita is undertracked, it's at around 1.48m in the US. WiiU is around 1.35m
But yes it will happen very soon!
The way I see it, and you can feel free to disagree, is that they are both consoles. If only home consoles were consoles, then why bother saying the word ''home'' in front of ''console'', why not just call them ''consoles'' since they are the only ones who earned the name. We say ''home consoles'' because their is also ''handheld consoles'' but they are both consoles. The same way their are ''HD consoles'' and ''SD consoles''.
But the word ''console'' is irrelevant, the important thing is that they are both gaming consoles. The word ''gaming'' is far more important than the word ''console''. They both aim at gamers who want to play games. So they compete for gamer's attention, money and time. They are competing for the consumer's entertainment. They also compete for display from retailers. Yes some prefer home consoles, others prefer handhelds, but alot only love games no matter what system they are on, and alot of these ppl don't have the money or time to buy all systems. I always prefered home gaming to handhelds, but I have a 3DS and I dont have a 360. Because Nintendo convinced me into buying a 3DS and M$ did'nt, I chose between the two and I thought the 3DS was way more attractive, they were both competing for my money.
No matter the format, they both offer a similar service that is games, they are both aimed at a similar audience that are gamers. One could argue that handhelds have the audience of casuals way more than home consoles and that because of this handhelds always did alot better making the comparaison unfair. That is a valid argument but in that case we are talking about a home console(WiiU) beating a handheld(Vita) so using that argument only makes the Vita look worst.
Also their is the fact that Sony always advertised the vita as ''home gaming on the go'', but I won't go there...
What?! I can't hear you over all this awsome! - Pyrrhon (Kid Icarus:Uprising)
Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)
Colour me surprised to see this happening this soon! :|
Congratulations Nintendo, you just beat the console equivalent of a couch.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

So even if its under 200k, WiiU sales should beat it (US only) before Dec comes! WiiU selling 3x as more and Tearaway is Vita's biggest holiday title vs SM3DW which i believe come out same week. Does FF X X-2 come out this year here or is it Japan only?

Ouch, now there's a Bambi vs Godzilla fight. I'm actually interested to see how much of an effect 3D World will have on Wii U hardware given that (a) the system already has a Mario game, but (b) it doesn't yet have a 3D Mario.
