I'm posting this because Blockbuster UK this affect directly who pre-ordered PS4/Xbone through Blockbuster.

Why would anyone have pre-ordered with Blockbuster, I wasn't entirely sure they were still alive

Personally, I was too worried about everyone going under other than Amazon...

I don't know they posted in July that they have the biggest pre-orders ever for consoles... so I guess somebody preodered... I think it is better advise everybody that they need to contact the Blockbuster to check this situation.

I thought they'd gone under too. Bleh.

I once picked up a copy of "The Movies: Stunts and Effects" in Blockbuster for 99p. I sold it on amazon for £17. So, you know, I liked them.

I also used to live near one and it was fun to browse games, but I never bought anything because they were overpriced.

So? Anyone ordering from Amazon August-September won't receive his pre-order until X-mas, anyone ordering September - now won't receive it until January 2014. They are still taking pre-orders, mind you.

I think that is a different situation from Amazon... in Amazon your preorder can be deleyed but someday you will receive it... in Blockbuster you won't receive so you need to refund your invested money... I don't know something like that.

There was a hint last week when they stated they weren't getting AC4 in stock..

Feel sorry for anyone who pre-ordered with them, but the writing is always on the wall with them - they cannot survive in this market, it also doesn't help that the people who now own them are apparently well known - money grab owners before throwing it to the wall.

Yeah, maybe. That quote from Blockbuster doesn't really clarify anything...which honestly isn't a particulary good sign if you think about it.
