As for the 3ds and vita I have a fairly tall house and when i come back in sometimes I just chill out, put the kettle on and have a handheld around the sitting room, have a drink of coffee and browse, my PC room is up 2 sets of stairs so yeah, its just a convience thing as for the limitied Ram of the handhelds it really only comes up in multimedia apps like the net, their games are hands down better in pretty much every way than something you'll find on the app stores of your phone.  I game on gaming devices if I want to make a call I have my N-gage for that, powerhouse of a smart phone that it is.

From a lazy point of view btw, nothing beats the vitas ability to power up my ps3 upstairs and get cracking into the northern crator in FF7 over the lan while just laying on the couch downstairs.
