Great OP. I think many of us, myself included, need to take a break from this site now and then and reevaluate why we play the games that we do, and why we play games in general.

"My taste is better than yours" huh? Sorry, although I personally prefer a great variety of games myself I just can't see how this thread is any more mature than the people who won't play games that "look childish".

God damn.  How entitled and self-centered is that.  You don't like those games?  I've got a fantastic solution for you--don't fucking worry about them.  YOU are EXACTLY what you've complaining about, a person who has to attack and run down anything they have no interest in.  Why do people like you have to think that their interests are automatically superior?  Even then, why feel the need to attack other things?  Elitism over gaming tastes is just bloody ridiculous.
