I would not be suprised at all if you would have to buy a year of PS+ to access the patch to be able to play offline.

That would be totally sony.


Back on topic. I thought the PS4 has no DRM?  Was that just Sony games not having DRM?  Im confused now.

Well it is possible for both to be true.

If you never connect it to the internet, yes you can play games on the PS4 offline. Once you connect it to the internet it downloads a DRM-like patch that means you need to be connected from then on.

I doubt that will happen tbh, but it is physically possible.

Uhm, you can even play many games online without Plus (F2P games). You can also access basically everything online, just not the MP of most games, without paying for Plus...

Still dont know what the DRM talk is about. The only thing I ever read about DRM was that Sony limits your games/account to a specific number of systems as it does with the PS3 now. Is this what we are talking about?

I mean since when was there talk about PS4 forcing you to be online like the old X1 thing?

Sony rumors aren't true if Sony didn't say anything about the matter. MS and Nintendo rumors, though...

if there was ever a time that this was true, then they fixed their os long before they started production. I don't doubt sony toyed with the idea, they have filed several drm patents after all, but they obviously went a different route when they landed on a final design.

No, this Sony rumor makes no sense and was shot down immediately and was already disproven before it was posted

 

Instead of crying bias explain to me how this could be possibly true? Ok then. Seems like your mad that it was already proven false and calling bias in defense tbh, sad really.

It makes no sense. Just like 720p XBone CoD vs 1080p PS4 COD doesn't, for example, or "Live not working", among others. Just something I wanted to mention, no need to get upset.
