Hilarous!!!!

Who cared that doesn't care now? Don't give me a general answer, show me some examples.

*looks at posts from other users* (who typically favor ps4)

*900p is not bad, as long as the gameplay is good*

Not saying that was the exact comment.

Did you know ps4 only supports a 2.4 wireless signal?

The xbox one supports a wireless adapter capable of 2.4 - 5.0ghz.

The ONLY next gen console to do so.

Well according to rumours the Xbox ONE version will be even worse at 720p....

Funny how the competition was always *1080 at 60fps*

now its less..

Disappointing. Picture quality became more and more important to me over the last years. I really expected 1080p to become the console standard but it seems like we still need more power. Epics demand of 2.5 Tflop consoles was appropriate in hindsight.

But what can you do its clear that consoles have a limited power/size/money budget so they have to compromise somewhere. I guess most people dont care so why would Sony or MS the ones that care are PC gamers anyway.

On second thought, the jump from 720p tom 1080p is just slightly more than twice pixels. The jump from  1080p to 4k is 4 times the pixels. Its actually the biggest jump ever, bigger than 480p to 720p or 720p to 1080p. Seeing PS4/Xbone struggle with 1080p makes me think that PS5 Xbox two will never be able to do 4k even in 2020. And that cloud will be able to do it is highly unlikely by that time, considering the immense data volume of a lossless 4k stream.Yet I think we all will have 4k TV sets by 2020.

People wont notice a difference anyway. All this drama about 1080p is nonesense. We have survived with sub hd games for 7+ years. We can live withit some more.

Is it acceptable, no, but there are far more important things devs should focus their attention on.

Already seen this.

---------------

COD Ghost

1080p on PS4

720p on Xbox One

BF 4

900p on PS4

720p on Xbox One

Wonder why some MS fanboys are proud.

Personnally the only FPS on launch that I care is on my avatar so these games are not my concerned.

Perhaps you are taking some things too seriously?

A console that is $100 cheaper is able to do 900+ compared to 720... what's not to be happy about? Thats a massive difference. Of course people would prefer 1080, but cant expect it from every single 3rd party game at launch... some are obviously not ready... but that is still a significant gap if they both run at the same FPS.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

After seeing Ryse at 900p I am quite sure BF4 on PS4 will survive at that resolution aswell :).

Nope. Cancel next gen.

Everyone's doomed.

Yep, joining the super-highdef world of smartphones, I am ditching these weak-ass homeconsoles.
