Yep, the biggest one's that come to mind are Black Ops, and MW3 because I was still getting off my irrational CoD hatred. But then I saw all my friends playing them and they kept saying they were so fun so I bought them both. Loved Blops, did not like MW3 though.

The other main one was Minecraft. I was always making fun of my friends for playing what I thought was a lame game with "trash graphics" but then I actually played it and it's in my top ten games of all time.

Minecraft really opened my eyes that graphics aren't everything in a game. I mean, sure I really enjoy a game that has good graphics, but I can enjoy a game with bad graphics as much as the game with amazing graphics.

Some years ago, i buyed a full game each month for 10$ in some magazines. There was a game in a magazine that i aways saw in the store, but never get my attention, the game looked so boring. One month, i was bored and decided give a shot. In fact, the game was cheaper than the price tag attached($3).

That game was Myst. my only regret was not get it before.

I'll be buying Mario 3D World, though I initially said I'd likely skip it.

I don't think this has ever happened to me. I have the opposite problem all the time though. I see a game that looks cool, decide I want it, and then never get around to actually buying it.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and then I said the same about Black Ops 2 and I've said the same about Ghosts but I already pre ordered it so 3rd year in a row I've failed at not buying it.
