Popular YouTuber Jack Frags promised on reddit a ration of direct feed 1080p gameplay footage of both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Battlefield 4 coming on October the 29th, as spotted by NeoGaf user Nirolak.

I’ll be posting Xbox One and PS4 footage – Direct capture 1080p on the 29th October – I’m not allowed to post before then. I have several hours of PS4 multiplayer and the full single player campaign on Xbox One recorded.

Interestingly enough, he also specified without mincing words that one version looks “definitely better” than the other.

I can’t talk specifics until the 29th but I can say that one of the next gen console versions definitely looks better than the other.

While he did not clarify which one is (according to him) the better version, he mentioned on Twitter that we’ll be surprised by what we’ll see.

And finally I think you guys will be very surprised when you see Xbox One vs PS4 footage!

While Jack Frags’ words should be taken with a grain of salt,they’re also not completely devoid of weight, as he’s in direct contact with EA DICE and is often invited to their private preview events, as you can see from the lovely gameplay video of the Flood Zone map he posted today, recorded directly at the developer’s HQ in Stockholm.

If thier comparing PS4 multiplayer and X1 single player, it's likely the X1 version will come out on top in this comparison.

Seeing as how everyone expects PS4 version to look better, I think this hints that Xbone version might actually look better

Especially when it's MP on PS4 vs. SP on XB1. How can this possibly be a valid comparison between platforms? xD

900p vs 720p same effects is realistic.

900p vs 900p some variation in effects is possible.

Any way, the Youtube compression might spoil any real change of side-by-side analises.

well, he let it sound as if the xb1 version looks better but i think he only wants to get as many clicks as possible. sure, maybe xb1 singleplayer looks better as ps4 multiplayer but i really doubt xb1 version has a chance against ps4 version. not even because ps4 is stronger but also because i believe the rumours about the driver problems on xb1 so that development was much harder for this console.
