* RACIST pricks.. yeah it exist in america...

America is a fucking continent.

You're talking about your USA experience, and all of a sudden you generalize the situation of a single country to a whole continent with 35 countries. That's racism.

Greetings from an european :p

Everyone I met here in Canada when they say "America" they refer to the United States and not the Americas or North America.

i was talking about usa so you would think that when i refer to america i am refering to usa...

if you want to go by the book... i use the 7 continents like most people do... which defined south america and north america as a seperate continent... and i didnt mention south and north.... and even if i meant the continent... yes i would stand on my statement that racism exist everywhere.  is it racist to say that racism exist everywhere? i dont think so but is it pessimistic to say. yes....

BTW geetins from A european... not an....

great things:

1.my town doesn't isn't all that evolved in buildings and such, while that may seem like a negative to some, it's a plus for most of us over here, there are no huge ass tall buildings, there are lots of trees and stuff, no machines and other shit that emits smoke, really refreshing.

2.most of us know eachother very well, again, due to me being in a small town (which was actually a village up until january 2007, and still has the word "village" in the name), everyone has all family names memorised, if someone doesn't know you, he'll ask for your father's/grandpa's full name and he'll immidiatly know who you are.

3.Salaries are damn nice. there's a chance i'm gonna get employed for a job that pays around $20k bucks a month in the coming year.

shitty things:

1.students, young pupils, adults, old people alike can get very violent, or mean, or engage in a lot of gossip. elections just finished 3 days ago, there were lots of fights accross the town, and shootings. last week i was sitting at my grandma's house and saw this car pull in and shoot at a hub, luckily noone was hurt besides a couple of folk who were shot in their legs and feet.

2. if you're different, you automatically get made fun of. i remember back in middle school, everyone acts like a tough guy (mostly everyone in town still does today, which is why reason 1 happens a lot), there were a couple of students who would make fun of me for being quiet and such, calling me a nerd or weak. i just ignored them until one day one of them tried to punch me and shit, i broke and punched that guy so hard he was smashed against the floor. i walked off and that's the last i heard of him and his friend.

3.Racism... i guess that's a pretty obvious choice when you're an arabic muslim who lives in a jewish country, there's bound to be a lot of racism.

country? :O

According to his account, Israel

Bad:

Asylum seekers
Standards lowering everywhere to help asylum seekers and other immigrants
Foreigners getting benefits and straining the system, better benefits than people born here

Good:

Language
English breakfast
Influence on the world

Same bad points that I would list for Sweden. Immigrants are the new elite. Natives must be humiliated until they're erased and replaced.

Positive things about Sweden is that we're peaceful and conflict avoiding people, society is fairly stable and it's economically a rich country.

Good
-Standard of living is among the highest in the world.
-Excellent Healthcare system.
-Public transport. You don't really need to drive here (at least in Dublin). Cycle to work schemes and excellent infrastructure mean you can walk out of your house and be most places within about an hour (Cycle, bus, train, light rail).

Bad
-Acceptance and or general apathy in relation to the corruption within the banking sector, building sector and the government. Very much a "that's life" or "get on with it" psychology, probably exists due to long periods in our history of oppression and corruption and the very laid back attitude of your average Irish person.
-Weather. It rains. A hell of a lot. (although this is also a huge plus for our biodiversity, yields for timber and pasture land).
-The remnants of old corruption and poor planning of old government parties meaning we are still paying for their mistakes and will be for years to come.

Throw away that book immediatelly. It is incorrect. It's the same as saying western europe and eastern europe are 2 different continents.

This is america

From top to bottom.

I know were you are coming form though, people are just so much used to that notion that it becomes the normal thing to say. As for me I find it racism and can't stand news outlets like "America spies on Angela Merkel". Lol no, fucking US corrupts spy on it, not Brazzilians. Or "America is fat", may not sound that good in Chile you average ignorant US reporter.

But that's just me and my habit of saying things like they just are lol.

Canada....and I want to do 4/4

Great Things

-Free Healthcare, cheap schools, well done taxes in general.

-Friendly people, much lower crime compared to south of the border

-Big Cities like Toronto aren't far from National Parks, and there isn't much traffic outside the large cities.

-Compared to other 1st world countries, our unemployment rate is low, and it's not hard to make a lot of money here

Shit Things

-Pollution in Toronto, meh subway system (not a country wide issue, but still)

-American Cars cost significantly more here then in USA, plus we don't get all the models Americans get

-Winter....It's not cold enough in Toronto for any more then a foot of snow at best, but it's cold enough to tear our roads apart with potholes.

-Obesity Rates are 18%, People are used to being fat, and now I'm seeing people talk about chubby people as "sexy". It's worst in the states, but still......European women look better, women should not come in anything larger then a size 6, and men shouldn't have guts unless they are 50.
