It also needs a Mario game. Probability: 0.1% (Never say never)

I could care less about a plumber with a mustache who jump on mushroom coming to Ps Vita. If I had the choice, I'll take WindWaker, Twilight princess and some Super Smash bros ^^

That's mainly the reason why I hope Nintendo will turn into Third Party.

LOL...we think the same...except change Nintendo to Sony as I would love to play some of those Vita and Playstation exclusives on my 3DS and upcoming Xbox-One!!!  Oh well may never happen but who knows right?

Don't forget every WII titles could have run on ps3. Every 3DS title could run on Ps vita. Every wii U title can run on playstation 4. The contrary is utterly false.

Nintendo should turn into third party not Sony since their strongest point is hardware.

Except that Nintendo innovates hardware more than Sony does (open to debate in which I don't want to derail the thread).  In a way it's like Nintendo=Apple and Sony=Samsung.

Also the Wii titles would have lost their motion-control with the PS3, (no the copycat failure that is Move don't count), the PSV is a failure because it lack balance and software would be reduced to single screen, and PS4 while more powerful is not setup for what Wii U offers in a readily available touch-screen (again wannabee Vita option don't count either).

Because a good port is not possible ? Wii games are that complex ? Strange point. So far I remember Okami HD being far more better, and more intuitive and confortable to play on ps3 than on Wii mate... =/

Compare ps vita to 3ds is beyond funny you know. Ps vita as hardware just rape 3DS, they're not discussion about that. Every 3ds games could run on Ps vita, the contrary is worth a smile.

I am not debating on which hardware has more power.  It seems to me you only view hardware by GFLOPS(in your case TFLOPS) instead of the whole package(typical of a fan of Sony hardware).  The 3DS abuses the PSV in terms of software and hardware sales because the hardware while not as powerful provides a more compelling experience (36M vs 5M shows more people agree with me) than what is available on the Vita.  If you really want power go with the NV:Shield it trumps the PSV in specs yet the Vita's overall package allowed it to have more compelling games. I actually am considering the XB-one more than the PS4 as it provides a new way of playing and more balance than the PS4 which is a little more powerful yet doesn't do anything to expand gameplay.

....also while the PSV is superior to the 3DS in terms of capablilities I don't think it is impossible to say that some games would work on the 3DS with some visual sacrifice.  If you look at some of the best games on the 3DS it does provide some decent visuals albeit not as detailed as the PSV but still quite beautiful.  That's another thread though we can discuss here: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=170362&page=9#6  for now I want to keep this thread clean and do not want to derail it. I am sorry if I did so. (last comment about this on this thread)

By extending gameplay you mean moving in front of you tv and having to go back and forth your screen and your paddle ? No thanks mate, I like intuitive, cool way to play.

The only thing that make the 3DS rape the ps vita in terms of sell is the price (remember where the 3DS where before the 40% cut ?), 150$ is the key price for a handheld. Second is all of strong seller software who doesn't cost that much to make being available on vita. Make gran Turismo, infamous, Kingdom hearts, FF exclusive titles and lower the price to 150$ and it would probably sell as easily as the 3DS.

PSV has been sold for $200(same price as the XL) several time already and PSV games are just as affordable as 3DS.  I would argue that the PSV games go cheaper faster than 3DS so that point is moot.  It's the same as PSP and DS as the DS was just a better portable system than the PSP despite the gulf in power!!!

Ouch. Children bought the ds and made what it is sell wise. Just look at the most sold games, it's revelant.

Psp was a strong emulation device, a media center who was the best 3 year prior smartphones arriving, had some strong serious exclusives, it was almost like having a ps2 in the pocket... Na, I don't buy the DS being superior.

And 3DS XL sell poorly. Like I said 150 is the magic price for an handheld.

Puppeteer would be perfect on V. I was surprised it wasn't a multiplat game.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Activision needs to bring Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon back to Sony because that game is an unofficial mascots of Sony. Crash and Spyro if in the hands of Sony could revitalize the brand.

I would love to see Puppeteer, Unfinished Swan and Rain ported to the Vita. I think those games would sell more on a fanbase that is still hoping for a bunch of games to be localized.

Oh and an enhanced/localized version of Type-0, Valkyria Chronicles III and Suikoden (PSP) would be nice too.

I would like to see wild arms alter code f, 3, 4, 5 HD collection. DQ8 is indeed a good one too. Sonic lost world would look great on the vita (wii u version), GT6, Kingdom hearts hd collections.
Im sure theres more but those poped to my mind.

Well, Kindgom hearts HD collections ( 1.5 and the upcoming 2.5 ) are tricky one. While appealing, the whole collection would take a good amount of go. Birth by sleep alone is about 3.5 go on psp... I let you imagine what dropping the whole 1.5 remix on Ps Vita could be regarding size.

Now, if we're speaking about just the two main first game being ported, it's more possible. But still unlikely, because SE and Nomura are aware that the franchise went north to south with hardware. I think they might want to keep the whole collection together in order to prepare the strong seller Kingdom Hearts 3. Since Square Enix mainly rely on Kingdom Hearts 3 and FF 15 to survive, they won't make a mistake as losing news fans with only the only two first titles being available on a device.

The only possibility I see is, like DQVIII, releasing physical copies only.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking highly about Puppeteer. This game is a solid experience.

We'll see as there is nothing on the Vita that looks anywhere as good as a true blue PS360 game (U:GA comes close though...but still a far cry from a PS3 Uncharted game) so I doubt it will just be a bit of "shine".  The NV:Shield on the otherhand might be able to pull it though with a bit less shine.

Well, yeah. There will be loss of polygons and detail, but nothing that would ruin the experience. The 3DS version is already quite comparable to the Wii U one, so im sure a Vita one would improve on that one. I'm looking at it like Sonic and all stars racing transformed.

You know... theres a lessed known fact that Vita games can use 8GB game cards. No one actually tried to though (im guessing cause they are too expensive). Squeenix could just break the games up just like they did with FFX and X-2. Anyways doesnt bother me much. I would rather see WA5 and WA Alter code F HD collection.

even if they drop out of the home console market, they'll still keep mario and the bunch exclusive to their handhelds.

WA5 and Alter code ? Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 would have a better impact and benefit the Ps vita catalogue way more. We're not speaking about that you would like to be ported, that wasn't the purpose of the thread.  We're speaking about games that MUST be ported to vita in order to help it grow a quality catalogue and appeal to a large audience without dropping money on AAA titles.

my top 5 that need to be ported or re-boot in the system:

Crash series

Patapon

Loco Roco

RE 4 HD

Pokemon X and Y HD
